You say try everything once, I say try everything Twice, sometimes the first time is too shocking to truly know if you can enjoy it or not. But at least you try, most people just shy away from new things, go you!

This is a lady whose razor wit only enhances how hot she looks in high heels - a stylish feminine dynamo who can fight and shoot better than the weekend warrior male. Little wonder that she has so many admirers ...
She is kind, caring, and sincere to a fault, but maintains her clear vision and level-headed realism. She places greater demands and expectations on herself than on anyone else.
She is going to change the world... and has already rocked mine.

there's beauty everywhere
about me
I'm pretty much a gregarious introvert.
I love focusing the body enough that the mind must finally rest.
I think cynicism is cheap and sincerity is underrated.
I wear a lot of stretchy black stuff.
I like to surprise people.
I probably like you.
The big ideas that move me have to do with economic freedom, the philosophy of liberty, (re-)constructing political and economic regimes, and the cultural and regulatory foundations for property rights, free markets, and personal liberty. I'm fascinated by the influence of technology on how societies and economies evolve and grow -- and just as often, the ways in which human troubles never really change over the centuries.
The little ideas that move me include reading atlases for fun, running in high heels, making utterly ridiculous salads, and turning flying clay targets into powder. Oh, and making large fireballs explode from my mouth. And walking around cities.
Within the next eighty years I plan to construct a paradise of experimental government on an abandoned oil platform, built on data protection, tax havens, legalized drugs, and creative license. (Enormous barges, remote islands, and hidden valleys are also up for evaluation.)
It'll be pure beauty.

I'm now on a complete comedown from the most fucking amazing novel I've read in years, David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest. It's a novel about...well, on the surface, it's about drugs, tennis, Quebecois terrorism, and entertainment as a weapon.
read an interview with Wallace in Salon:

Underneath, it is a moral novel, moreso than most I've read, maybe because literature since the 20th century doesn't often have a Moral To The Story. Yo...

Laptop fixed. Turned out to be hard drive, so I lost all my data. Fortunately, I'm religious about backups, so I just hooked up my backup drive and re-loaded all the music, schoolwork, and naughty pictures. I mean, um, chainmaille photography.
Lesson to remember: back that thang up.
Spring will not come soon enough.

I had to leave WF heartbreakingly early...
...only to come back and find my laptop died (CPU/logic board failure). This makes for a full blown case of real-world whiplash.
[additional bitching edited out for general lack of interest]
So, the usual post-Wildfire friend finding and messages are delayed, while I use public-access computers for basic work stuff. [more kvetching edited]
