++ rehearsals moving fwd for new non-fire act
- not yet done with music and rehearsal schedule and final casting issue for new Latin-themed fire show. Got behind from being sick last week. Also finding it harder than I thought to ride that line between "recognizable" and "expecting the waiter to swing by with chips and salsa and ask for your margarita orders...."
-- not wanting to have to clean house, despite it being a huge mess right now
++ have happy problem of figuring out which acts to do for Tuesday and Friday night's shows
++ Lunacy Cabaret, Halloween edition! That I am not in this time and can, thus, just sit back and enjoy!
+++ Best husband ever -- taking care of my sick ass, feeding me, nestling me in blankets and generally making sure I get better soon!

+++ Been doing more fire!
--- Been sick with allergies and stuff for over two weeks
+++ Getting all excited about HoopPath retreat!
++ Getting all excited about NYC trip in August! (I'll be more excited when it's closer)
+ Getting all excited about moving in August, too! (scared + excited or it'd rank higher)
+++ Falling in love with the fire staff, after being way more of a poi-yeur for years and years.
-- Getting tons of learning-curve bruises from the staff.
+++ Starting to get the groove of some contact basics.
++ Got good ideas for new fire eating torch-making & new parasol making
--- Too broke to buy supplies for new tools that I wanna build until next week
+++ Urban Golfing is gonna be *awesome* this season!
--- Scheduling conflicts are delaying things like route planning to Urban Golfing and I am starting to stress about that
+++ weather finally nice enough to hoop outside again today without being damp and cold
+/- Realizing that I stress too much (plus b/c at least I am more aware of it. minus b/c it's still stress)
+++ Did I mention getting excited about the HP retreat?!?
-- Still no word on scheduling for next sideshow school intensive

Gettin' slowly caught up with you freaks now...

back in town again - perseids watching on the 12th!

Spent the last three days relaxing by the pool at the in-law's place, eating BBQ, drinking rum drinks and generally having a fabulously relaxing time.

They also got us a really lovely wedding gift: a cutlery set and a cookware set, both of which were sorely needed. I cannot wait to use them! Must cooooook sooomething!!

On a totally unrelated note:

Perseids + new moon on August 12th!! I have something to do that afternoon, but I want VERY much to go to Toronto Islands in the evening for meteor-watching. Bring a flask, it's time for once again BOOZE AND SCIENCE!

New wick covers for my poi!

Posting the new pics in a moment of the brand-spankin' new and utterly ridiculous poi wick covers that I just made. They're the first thing I have patterned out for myself, too. I think they turned out absurdly lovely!
