This calligraphy piece was commissioned by the Moscow Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. They requested something typically Tibetan, so i set about to create a piece on a wash of pure saffron, painted with a cloud design reminiscent of a piece of yellow silk brocade.

Showing over 100 artworks spanning the past 10 years, from contemporary and traditional Tibetan calligraphy, to the Black on Black series and featuring the new Illuminated iconographic full colour works. As i may have mentioned before of drinking ink..... which in a dream is considered a blessing receiving the wisdom of Manjushri to aid learning, writing and calligraphy etc. This photo was taken and composed by Rebecca van Ommen, for my up and coming book on Tibetan calligraphy called 'Insight Ink'.
