Thoughts on life...
Yes I Will (Michael Franti and Spearhead)
Fri, April 4, 2008 - 9:12 PMOn a dark, cold and cloudy day
Reminding me on the side of the road
You find the light, you'll find a friend,
You'll find a way
But today I'm felling all broke down
I ain't got the faintest clue 'bout what to do
Can't comprehend the situation at hand
so I try my best, just to get back home to you
(Chorus)
Gonna keep on walking now
Yes I will
Gonna keep on talkin' loud
Yes I will
Gonna keep on singin' bout it
Yes I will
Gonna keep on ringing out
Yes I will
I believe that what you sing to the clouds
will rain upon you when your sun, has gone away
And I believe, that what you dream to the moon
Will manifest, before you rest, another day
So stay strong, and sleep long when you need to
let the mornin' take you right on through the day
And when you find you're at the end of the road
just lift your head up
Spread your wings and fly away
(chorus)
When you're lost and alone
That's when the rainbow comes
When you're lost and alone
that's when the rainbow comes for you

Carl burned the Songs From the Front Porch Franti album for me last week. I had it a long time ago but it got stolen with a bunch of CD's when our car got broken into. Things come to you when you need them, I truly believe that. I had thought for a long time that I should buy the album again but never got around to it. When I popped it into the player in my car last week and this song came on (it's the first on the album) the waterworks exploded. I really needed to hear it at that exact moment. The universe is just amazing, don't you think?

Oh, and the picture is from when I was pregnant with Bodhi and went to a benefit show for Michael's trip to Iraq. AFter the show I spoke to him and he rubbed my belly and said, "Good for you, mama, bringing life into the world." Then my friend Deneene took our picture and sent it to me.
