It's well past time to update my blurb here. I'm now checking in more often as this has become my main online link to the bellydance community. I won't be posting a whole lot of photos on this site, see the link in the next section--that leads to my main site where you can waste hours browsing the ever-growing collection of images.
Not so much. You would think now that the holidays are upon us (what?! already?! didn't we JUST do this?) there would be a slowdown. Nope. I've just completed editing the Dance Macabre III shoot which was an unqualified success. Some of the shots are scary, they captured the emotion of the piece so well. I also have another Shimmy Showcase shoot in the queue that should be done before the weekend--when I have yet another shoot lined up. I'm going to wear this poor camera out before I can get ...

I've recently shot both the 2007 EEMED show and a new showcase show called Dark Oasis. Both shows' galleries are up at my photography site. These were painfully slow in getting out for a few reasons; some glitches with the server's software forced me to manually set images one-by-one instead of batching. I just finished processing my yearly mass of photos from this wonderful show. As usual, Amara & crew provided plenty of great imagery for Michael and I to select from. The DVDs are on their way to her shortly, so performers ought to be seeing them soon. I will pull out a few of my favorites to post on my site a little later.

For those who have not been hounding me for the past week, all of the Tribal Fest 7 photos are now online are ready for viewing. Boy, what a marathon. That was a whole lot of great images, and kept the computer humming at max for a long time. It was all well worth the effort and I cannot wait until next year; in fact I am already acquiring gear to help keep my back from beating me up next time.

Now on to reviewing and editing the other good stuff I took during the week. Part of the 12,000 ... read more
My second trip to Tribal Fest & it was better than last year. Yes, I've only made--what? 3?--entries since then. Anyway between the week just hanging around the Bay Area before TF & the show itself I brought home 12,000 photos plus a couple of rolls of 645 film. This next week will be consumed in reviewing and organizing the shots for all the dancers.
