I hate politics

Does anyone else feel the same way about politics? If you don't get involved. I did and even the most Green politicos will sell out for the right price. Power corrupts. Trust me!

ontological abstraction

As I ponder the root cause, the base of all things my focus becomes blurred. I don't know whether is this caused by any fault of mine or my ability to think and reason, or if it is a general shortcoming of our species. Either way I wonder how we can know all to be all? Some folks fall back on "faith" which is someone else's unfocused abstraction. Some use reason; the philosophical equivalent of a smoke screen. I prefer to never know, because knowing that I will never know is more concrete than either faith or reason.

Most dangerous animal

I met someone yesterday who told me, "pitbulls are the most dangerous animals in the world." I responded by simply saying, "Iraq, Darfur, Tibet, New York. No, humans are."

Why do we treat animals as things? Just things that can be bought or sold? Let's treat them with respect. Animals are not part of the consumer society, they are part of Mother Earth.
