Favorite Quotes

Just a month before his (Oscar Wilde's) death he is quoted as saying, "My wallpaper and I are fighting a duel to the death. One or other of us has got to go." <This is from Wikipedia & may be apocryphal>

The good Earth - we could have saved it, but we were too damn cheap & lazy. - Kurt Vonnegut

Stuff about Ted, or Blah blah blah!

about me
5' 5" (165 cm) & I'm a (pocket) bear. Currently single.

Native Californian, but I grew up in western Montana. I'm a Cancer/Dragon.

I've lived in Missoula, Minneapolis and San Francisco, currently in San Bruno but we will see how long that lasts.

I'm a solitary pagan, mostly Nordic/Asatru (Go Frigga!).

Hobbies include comics (superhero mostly) and I follow writers more than artists.

Love to cook, I make a mean pecan pie, and I can whip up a Thanksgiving dinner without too much trouble (Thanks Mom! Thanks Gram!). Grapefruits are Kryptonite to my species.

Love to read in general. Usually have a book with me in case I get stuck somewhere (like the long ride down SFO way). Favorite books include KSR's Mars Trilogy, A Suitable Boy and The Razor's Edge.

I'm 420 positive, but only ingesting. Smoking makes me stupid(er).

I love to dance my ass off. Part of the reason that I like raves.

Love plants, but you'd never know it by looking at my apartment. I just don't have the green thumb that my Mom's side of the family does.

...."The empire never ended." in Valis, referring to the many forms the old Roman empire has taken as it mutates and replicates across time and space. As I get older, I am beginning to think that on a personal level perhaps "high school never ended." Whether it is work, politics, entertainment or my personal life, it just seems more and more true. Ugh!
