I have been Bellydancing and teaching for years. I love choreography and have created many dances, but I also love improvisation. I recently took some Persian dance classes and they were a lot of fun! There are so many styles of Middle Eastern Dance and I am just starting to scratch the surface. I have been a martial artist for many years, Kung Fu and Tie Chi. I was working on becoming a Tie Chi instructor but sadly my new job has but a crimp in this. I have been a dancer since I was three and I hope to be till the end. One of the saddest thing in the world is not being able to dance!

I have been a member of the SCA on and off for a very long time. I was the Seneschal for the Shire of Rivenwood Tower for about 3 years. We seem to be doing well. Lupercalia has come and gone again and it went very well with our new Seneschal. I went insane for this one and cooked lunch as well as teaching a bellydance class and a henna class. The henna class was much more popular than I thought and so I will have to plan better for next year. I also ended up performing a bit during feast. It was a lot of fun. Happy to say one of our shire members received an award which was long overdue. I wish more of our shire members had received one, I tried to motivate members to suggest people for awards but no luck. As for the group Jeff is now the exchecker which I was amazed he would take on. Wish I could be more of a part of things but with my job I end up missing all of our meetings. Really miss it!

I am a founding member of the Sun/Moon Bellydance Troop. I am the only main member now. I had one of my students dance with me at the Rainbows of the Dessert Show and it went well. Unfort. she has moved away, such is the life of a student. I danced at the Guild show on my own this year but it was fun. I also ended up dancing at the Cornstalk Festival. Boy that was great. I saw one of my old troop members and that was a lot of fun. I am looking forward to some more but I will have to see what the new year brings. I am happy to say one of my former troop members will be joining me again for a performance and I will be going to Cornstalk again. Fun Fun! It is hard to work this in with my job.

I love to read books, dance, play computer games, do graphics work on the computer, make web pages, photography, belly dance, SCA Dance, playing the drum and the harp, watch a bit of TV here and there and movies of course, Henna Tattoos, fabric dying and painting, costume and garb making, weaving, glass bead making. I just planted a few henna plants. Have to see how I do in Minnesota. We also just planted a new apple tree called Freedom. We have apples our first year, very exciting. I also planted asparagus which is doing well this year. Sadly I forgot to dig up the peanuts before it snowed last year. So far Grandma's garden is doing great after surviving a bunny attack. It is full of flowers!

I like to work on my house but I don't get much time for it. I am hoping to have time to finish our bathroom tile soon. Tile work takes a lot of time and I have redone the counter and the wall around it but I have a lot more to go. We are also going to replace our paneling and false ceiling in the basement with wallboard. My kitten was getting up in the ceiling and watching me working on the computer and I have been worried that she will fall through. Right now we are working on tiling our entryway so we can put our new fish tank in and I don't want to move it once it is set up. Yah!! The tiling is done, the painting is done, a bunch of the trim work is done. A few touch ups and one more piece of trim to finish and I will be done. I even managed to find time to stain the front door. I don't think I could handle another project right now, but I am making good progress on the entryway. I did have a staining issue when one of the doors turned a really dark color so I have been having to sand it down. This is also done! Fun Fun??? With my new job much of this has been on hold.

I have three cats Scamper, Julian, and Arabella, one fish tank , a lovebird, and I used to have an 7/8 Arabian Horse named Elizon. He was 28 when he passed away. Until other parts of my life slow down and we can find a farm we can afford I don't think I will get another horse. Sadly Scamper passed away recently. We all miss her, she would have been 15 this year.

We have started having Arts and Sciences night and it has been fun. We have learned to make shoes, cheese, viking chain making, and garb. We had to cancel our first glass beading due to a blizzard. I held a bead making class and it went well. Many of the shire members learned how to make beads. Our next class is going to be ceramics. We are going to make favors for Lupercalia. I am thinking this will take up the next couple of sessions. Hope this is progressing, haven't had time to do much due to my job. We had to skip the last one as the children were sick and I was on some medication that would not allow me to be around sick people. It was terrible medication, something I will never take again if possible and worst of all it didn't fix my problem. I finally went back to the allergy doctor and he changed my meds and that helped. I have finally after 4 months gotten rid of my cough! Really hate having asthma and allergies! I hope someday their is a cure!!

I am also sad to say we have to miss The Lilies War as I could not get enough consecutive time off at work. Really wanted to go and had the vacation time but sadly once again my job did not have time off available during that time. Gurr! Sometimes I feel like I have no life just a job. I had the same thing happen to my Y classes and am hoping to find a work around for that. I couldn't find a sched.that would allow me to keep the same time. Wish they could be a bit flexible! More than anything wish I had two days off in a row so we could take a small trip. I do have to say I have 5 days off before Christmas and at least this year I don't have to work Christmas. That was one of the worst days ever last year! We will be able to go home to Jeff's parents and have enough time to do stuff even with the 12 hour driving time. Last year we only had a weekend and it was terrible!

We took a trip to Disney World. Boy it is big. We were there seven days and still we didn't get through everything we wanted to. I did manage to get my picture taken with a belly dancer in Epcot in Morocco. I was pretty excited we took some extra time and were able to see Morocco. We went to all of the parks and used every possible form of transportation. I love the monorail. Wish we had one here! Wish we could go back.

I am happy to say I am on page 48 of my book and I have the start of another one as well. Not sure when I will finish but it is fun doing it. I have never gotten this far with a book before and I am excited to see how it turns out! I know some of what will occur but I am not sure how I will get there and exactly how it will end. I still have a long way to go. Haven't made any progress on this. The job really sucks my life away. I just wasn't to relax when I get home as it can be pretty tense at times. I took 57 calls the other day which is quite a lot! I would like it better if I was doing computer support and had better tools. I expected a call center to have a really good expert system or something like that but not so much. It is just a lot of bits and pieces of info that require you to remember everything to be really quick. Happy to say I received another 100% quality yesterday! Hard to do with our call quotas. Our company is merging with another one and we are not sure what that will bring?
