When seven years old, took saxophone lessons. Was 1st chair soloist and leader of the dancebands in all five high school's attended, as my family moved a lot. One was GMA (Georgia Military Academy) where in the first year was 1st chair soloist there, also, and leader of the danceband out of 50 other saxophone players. Also at GMA was one of two cadets, out of 100, that passed the Physical Ed test and didn't have to participate in P.E. all year. Attended the Univ., of Maryland Far East Division in Vietman. Had attended the Univ., of Colorado night classes for a while after graduating from high school. Am a Vietnam and Korean veteran. Took Tai Kwon Do at Georgia Tech where graduated 1st in the class .Am a certified scuba diver. Was champion arm wrestler at Valdosta High School when attending school there. Saved the lives of my father, brother, myself and a friend of my father's while doing touch and go landings in a high performance Bellanca aircraft my father owned. Was sitting in the back seat next to my brother Ray Jr., when I just happened to look up out of the window, while touching down on the runway, and saw a Tri Pacer about ten feet up and directly above us making a landing. It was about to land right on top of us! I screamed to my father, PULL OUT, PULL OUT!! He jammed the thorottle all the way in and we just barely pulled out from under the Tri Pacer. We came back around and landed. When we taxied in their were a bunch of people who had been watching and they said they thought we were done for. Thank God my father did what I screamed at him to do or we probably would have all been killed! Have beem married three times and have a son by each one, Robert Jr, Patrick and Christoper. Was a framing and form carpenter for 12 years. Have done everything, just about, in home and commercial construction. Also a heavy machinery operator, commercial painter and plumber. Sold automobiles, life insurance, mobile home, sattalite systems, reacreational property and many other type sales, (Jack of almost all trades). Am survived by my mother and father, sister and brother in the immediate family. Am also a published poet of 28 poems. Vietnam and Korean Veteran. Danang, Viet Nam 1969 and 70' 17th Signal Battalion.
