I have been thrilled to start learning about MiddleEastern, Latin and World dance after almost 20 years of practicing as registered nurse.

I have taken my love of promoting health among women and dance and combined those loves! It is great to work in dance studios promoting health these days!

I have been teaching in the Youngstown, Canfield, and Boardman area since 2002 to promote the art of bellydance and women of all ages and ethnicities dancing for fun and fitness together. We study and find appreciation for all kinds of world dance. We enjoy getting to know about other cultures and heritages, developing music appreciation, understanding histories of dances and learning recognition of dance rhythms. I also love to drum and play finger cymbals and castanets.

I currently offer 4 bellydance classes weekly in six week increments year-round. I love to meet sister dancers and promote bellydance by sponsoring workshops, haflas, field trips and dance events.

I enjoy writing articles to publications, such as Zaghareet, Jareeda, and The Chronicles. Although teaching bellydance is my primary livelihood, I also enjoy working as a freelance proofreader and edit or for copy and layouts as a side job. I would love to study Spanish and Arabic languages, and spend more time sewing dance costumes, but I am staying pretty active dancing and teaching!

I am also a member of a Gospel choir, which I thoroughly enjoy! All the elements of rhythm, soul, spirit and worship, singing, dancing, movement, and music are delightful to me!
