Tossed my hat in the ring that is.. the Ren Faire ring! After visiting the Georgia Ren Fest this year, I've decided to go for it and try out for a Court position this next season. We'll see what happens... should be fun if I get in. I already have enough garb either in the works or in design to have a different outfit each weekend of the run. Go figure. It went from hotter than hells door-hinges to so much rain from Fay that we've got flood warnings around here!

But happily, I have a BUNCH of indoor projects to keep me occupied for quite some time to come! : )

I finally splurged on Margo Andersons Elizabethan patterns, and have been avidly going through the wonderfully detailed instructions. Looks like I'll be making big inroads on my fabric stockpile in the next few months.

Holy cow y'all!!! It is HOT and STEAMY here! A walk out to the mailbox will have you sweating like a whore in church in 2 minutes!!

I'm not going to fuss too much about the rain because we desperately need it to help get us out of this awful drought. But it's been more humid the last 3 weeks or so than it ever was when I lived at the coast.

It's official. I've spent more time out in the field on ONE project than I've spent in my own dang home this week. In the last 5 days, I've been working my butt off on site for at least 11 hours every day.

This crap has got to stop. I'm in desperate need of a chiropractor and a masseuse. I'm getting too old for this!

I really don't mind that I've been on site getting stuff done. What irks me is that the first day I wasted at least half my time cleaning up after over half the crew.... read more
