What is there about me that you would like me to say about myself. I suppose I can give my height... I am tall. Hair color: Brown. Yep that is me in a nut shell.

I am a computer geek with an ambition to be a marine biologist geek. I would love to have a job going out on the ocean even if it is just to be a gloried deck hand until I get my degree.

I started spinning poi in Feb 09, after watching my local burners spin. I messed around with them on occasion when they were practicing sometimes lit sometimes unlit. By messed around I mean I did cross overs with one poi. Finally I started thinking about buying some poi and learning. I went down to Atlanta on my birthday and hung out with a new spinner, Jingelz, which fueled the wicks. Hung out with this cool guy, Paul Di Diego, that spins fire himself and the toys were lit. Came back, made my poi and have been spinning since. I am told that I am good, but honestly I am not. I just like having fun... which is what it is all about right.

I occasionally mess with a staff, mainly playing around with my old ROTC moves replacing the rifle with a fire staff. I can do some catches, but basic stuff. Again just fun to try new stuff when I get frustrated by a new move on the poi.

I also seem to do one of the most dangerous thing with fire which is breath it. Good old ultra pure. I always have a blast doing it. If there is a couple pieces of advice that I can give for anybody wanting to do this it is 1. Never do this if you have an inkling of a bad feeling or the situation not being "right" 2. After breathing out your flame stop, pull back and let the flame vanish before taking a breath from your nose. 3. BLOW HARD! You will make this really cool flame tongue.

I have been to a burn as a kid... but I was young and had no freaking clue what a burn was. Ok, so I have not been to an official burn yet, so i guess I am considered a virgin. I went to Cape Sphere's fund raiser, Mayhem, and had an absolute blast! It was one of the best times I have ever had.
