Sun in Capricorn, Moon in Taurus. My life consists of Art, Hoop Dance, and a passion for deeper meaning and concentration. I am a performer with Kaivalya Hoop Dancers and also go to school at Kansas City Art Institute where I am currently studying painting. To me art is about getting to know yourself more completely and directly then what you think you already know. This is exactly what Hoop Dancing and Painting is doing for me. Every spin with the circle and every stroke of the paintbrush bring me closer and closer to my true self. Dance and art calms my mind. They are my passage into my self. The hoop is a symbol for so many things in our lives.

This is the beginning segment of a performance I am doing for a Kids TV show called Whoop Dee Doo in Kansas City. They wanted high energy and kid friendly so here it is!!! I'm always exhausted after the dance is over! Unfortunately I couldn't get the whole video the record on my comp so this is only half the routine. I end with four hoops. I'll have to post a recording of the actual performance for you guys when I get the footage. Any comments or suggestions are encouraged! Enjoy!

Hey there! I've been meaning to talk to you all about something...So I’ve been thinking...there's this department at my school called interdisciplinary. You have to put in an application to be in it but once you’re in you can do WHATEVER you want including performance art. What if I did improvisational hoop dance with full on theatrical costuming, lighting, make-up ect. This could be a great opportunity to grow in my performance confidence and skills.
