Tribute Poem to Rowan Rose

"When I Grow Up, I Want to be Ro"

Over eight years ago, I met a fine beauty;
She seemed to know everything, as far as I know;
A woman who taught me about the whole world;
So, when I grow up, I want to be Ro.

Ro taught me about the wonders of camping,
How to dress for a proper Pagan event;
Mostly importantly on her list was camp safety;
Burn the table down, but not the large tent.

While she was here, she opened two stores,
And showed off her many talents,
From stained glass to pottery,
Cooking and crepes,
Dancing and drawing and making incense,
And marketing and writing an online advice column, and body painting and cool makeup, designs, and a fan website for Weird Al Yancovich and…
Oh, and her delicious food;
In addition, of course, what to use when you run out of lube.

A wonderful priestess the Rowan is she,
Always beautiful her ceremonies are;
Often they finish grandly with a bonfire lit,
And a well-stocked Dragon Piss bar.

Ro taught me about the delicacies of food,
And opened the door to cuisine;
She taught me about Dove chocolate truffles,
And the power of Bitch magazine.

With all her talents, Ro could open her own church,
She needs little help from anyone here;
From the stained glass windows and preaching the sermons,
Ro could convince Jesus to be her own seer.

Her power over us is ever extreme;
Her love and devotion divine;
We will miss her wisdom and ever her laughter;
She will always remain a dear friend of mine.
