As soon as I moved to Seattle, about 4 years ago, I looked up as much information as I could about auroral activity. There was no way I could have seen the northern lights in my home state of Oklahoma, but they were on my list of things to make sure I saw in my lifetime. So when I moved to approximately the 49th parallel, I figured my chances of seeing them in my backyard were greater than in OK. So I've been working on a project lately...a wooden bed. After much hard work and frustration, it's done. I've been using salvaged wood for my projects lately and so I end up getting old-growth for cheap or free. I had to buy a planer to make the wood look ever so pretty after years and years of weathering, but it was well worth it.
