so years ago, we did a little yoga, and the instructor introduced us to the neti pot. for those who don't know, it's this thing where you pour salt water up one nostril and it flushes your sinuses and comes out the other nostril or your mouth, depending on what you want it to do. you are absolutely repulsed. ick ick ick!!!!! those who use it extol its virtues to no end, but you refuse! ick, nasty, yucky!!!!!

so we're at a party a little bit back, and everyone's gushing about my tiny man, all of 6 months old. the host's mother comes over and coos at him a moment and then says, what a big face! and then she wanders away.
huh? big face? we think it was meant as a compliment, but, seriously, what a bizarre thing to say!

so i got an email today that my boy's crib is recalled. because it's a DEATH TRAP. so i'm supposed to fill out this online form (done), and the company will send me more forms, an allen wrench (dunno why, already got several), and instructions on how to break down the crib. i send them the crib hardware (again, dunno why, as it's the slats that shatter and pose the threat), and the serial # plate from the crib. they then send me a voucher for a new crib that is only good at the store wher... read more

i've come to realize i'm a slacker mom. my kid goes to school with breakfast still stuck to his face. my house is a wreck. i cook. sometimes. but i bathe my kidlets regularly, they wear clean clothes (albeit out of the clean laundry basket, not nicely folded in the drawer), and dinner is always hot. so i hold out hope that i can get it together at some point, yes? sigh.
