I started taking classes with Maria about three years ago when I turned 40 and was "inspired" by my older sister Iman (who I love and admire very much! Iman is not only beautiful and talented, but a wonderful sister and friend)

Along with cabaret style belly dancing, I am a Pilates/Dressage student with Julie Leiken, a Flamenco student with Rene Heredia and a tribal student with Elizabeth Ostteen. Maria, Julie, Rene and Elizabeth are all talented and wonderful teachers who are helping me to see how well my twin passions of riding and dance integrate with one another to help my body and mind become stronger and more agile as I grow older. I look foward to learning from them for years to come!

I'm a NARHA Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor and Brain Gym Practitioner with an interest on facilitating neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to improve its structure and function) through dance, riding and other forms of movement. I'm also a suburban mom of two children born with disabilities and have a particular interest in assisting parents and other caregivers in finding some peace and meaning in their own lives.

I also spent more than three years as a clarivoyant student/teacher-in-training at the Psychic Horizons Center in Boulder, Colorado. I don't use the intuitive skills I've learned as a "psychic," but instead utilize them in my work as a Brain Gym Practitioner assisting others to find and make the neural connections they need to help themselves.
