Announcing the 3 (yes, 3!) San Francisco Santa Routes…

Santa’s put on some weight over the years (last year’s was 800 strong and we anticipate significant growth this year). Based on survey results, Santa has opted for multiple routes. (The majority of Santa…60%…voted in favor of this so no lip, mmkay?)

All routes have bars and ample activities (both are very important to Santa) as well as the ability to actually ORDER A DRINK (something close to impossible if we’re 1,000+ on a single route). All routes WILL converge (and there will be afterparties announced). Locations were selected based on survey results, so Santa anticipates excited chatter, smiling faces, and zero bitching.

Below is enough info for Santa to do some social coordination ahead of time (i.e., plan amongst your friends which route you’re gonna take). Starting times/places will be announced on Friday at noon (12/12 @ 12n).

Klassic Kringle―Santa hits Fisherman’s Wharf and other favorite hotspots (that will still have us). Suggested props: Signs (Elfcare for Everyone, Santas Demand More milk &amp; Cookies, etc.) Celebrate Santa’s many corporate friends &amp; partners by displaying your favorite sponsor on your suit.

Ho on Haight―Suggested props: “Ho on Haight” or “Ho on H8″ signs (think “No on 8”), drums, noise makers. Santa also asks that you bring presents for the poor unfortunate “homeless” children.

Mastrobation―The Mission and Castro are getting Married…Gay Married! Suggested props: It’s all about choice, so it’s up to you how you’d like to participate (assorted props and gifts are always appreciated).

    </a>
										<div>Some challenging things had been happening this last year and at first I fought them - now I understand they have been preparing for a new direction. I made a decision at the first of the year to move to the Bay Area. I have a major "change" phobia so it's hard for me to let go - even how the towels hang in the bathroom - you know what I mean? Anyway, if things didn't happen the way they have - I would never have even thought of up-routing. So I am accepting this as "direction" from the universe.

A few months back I sent out 2 "feeler" resumes just to see what would happen. Wouldn't you know it - I got a call back. It's an Architecture firm in the Financial District of SF. I had the initial interview by phone and it took 2 hours. They had told me I would hear back from them within a week one way or the other. Two weeks went by before I got a call back - I thought they had forgotten me - not so. Apparently they had an initial response of 500 individuals and they have narrowed it down to myself and one other. The HR contact confided in me that the team was really excited about me and were leaning in my direction. Look who had a flight booked for the 11th - that's right - me. I had my 2nd interview April 11th, and I just got the Offer Letter yesterday. It's official - TRINK is on the move.

YES - this is very exciting but at the same time I am scared witless - okay, maybe I didn't have a wit to begin with - but if I did - it's less a wit now. I've lived in the same place for over a decade and to be honest - I LOVE my place. Working out my new home is my main concern right now. I'm a very "organized" person (Method would call it something else) so I need to have something set up soon. We will be looking the weekend of May 1st. So, Bay Area Peeps - keep your eyes and ears tweaked for anything that has the craftsman style look to it. We are wanting to land in Oakland - Piedmont, Rockridge, Lake Merritt area . . . right around there. If anyone knows of anything out there - let me know . . .

Change is happening and it's doing it with so much ease to date that it seems surreal. It must be a "meant to happen" thingy - so I'm just riding it out. Thanks to all of you for your support, boosts of confidence, emails, friendship, parties and LOVE ! ! !

XOXO's

So MethodMan &amp; Myself will be in San Francisco this weekend and look forward to seeing as many of you as we can. With that in mind, Marianne told me about this thingy at BM Headquarters, then Megs emailed it to me . . . we're in and wondering who else we can get to go too. Sounds like a fun time. We will be out early to serve Mimosas to the public at the beach on Sat. morning for Miss Bonnie's B-Day Celebration, then we will head over to the Headquarters - picking up something for potluck along the way. I'm packing tonight and including some items to donate &amp; swap.

Hope to see all of you there . . .

    </a>
										<div>OK - someone went and got all fancy on us with the Bacon Vodka. Where as we just put a strip or two in our Bacon Bloody Mary's - these kids are infusing it in the Vodka. Of course, I would need more than just three strips per pint . . .

TRINK

RECIPE:
Makes up one pint

Fry up three strips of bacon
Add cooked bacon to a clean pint sized mason jar. Trim the ends of the bacon if they are too tall to fit in the jar. Or you could go hog wild and just pile in a bunch of fried up bacon scraps.
Optional: add crushed black peppercorns.
Fill the jar up with vodka. Cap and place in a dark cupboard for at least three weeks.(No need to refrigerate)
At the end of the three week resting period, place the bacon vodka in the freezer to solidify the fats. Strain out the fats through a coffee filter to yield a clear filtered pale yellow bacon vodka.
Decant into decorative bottles and enjoy.

    </a>
										<div>OK, so I know I am just the lamest thing around. I sew, make costumes and pay full price for fur at my local fabric joint and have NEVER, in all my years of living in San Diego, EVER been to the garment district in LA. We are heading up to Santa Barbara the first weekend in April and DAMN IT - we ARE stopping and doing some fur shopping. I went on line and found something like 200 + listings for fabric shops in the Fashion District and got a wee bit overwhelmed. I was hoping someone out there could possibly narrow down the list for me . . . please ! ! ! My main interest is FUR - yes, fluffy/colorful/inexpensive FUR. Also, any helpful hints regarding best times to shop, where to park, how to get around . . . would be so appreciated.

Thanks,

										<div>ROAD TRIP ! ! !

Space Cowboys are hitting the powder next weekend with the UNIMOG to party in the puff. MethodMan and myself will be heading that way on Friday and will serving up a big ole' pot of chili w/corny cornbread at the base of the slopes on Saturday night.

See you there,
TRINK

It seems like an epic season is underway in Tahoe, and we here at SpaceCowboy HQ are busy waxing both the UNIMOG and our snowboards &amp; skis as we get ready for our annual trip to North Lake For SnowFest: February 29th thru Sunday March 2nd.

We’ll have the UNIMOG slope side on the deck at Squaw’s Olympic House on Friday, providing the soundtrack to a full day of turns, cocktails, fireworks and guys in spandex pants skiing with torches. Continuing on into the night the Space Cowboys and friends will be playing at the after-party inside the Plaza Bar, the bunnies and cougars won’t know what him ‘em! Mixing it up this year, we’ll also by throwing down a “fresh” Friday night mix of hip-hop, funk &amp; mid-tempo funky breaks “next door” at Zenbu.

Also new for 2008: join us during the day on Saturday as we rock HOMEWOOD with another slopeside appearance of the UNIMOG for the Sick &amp; Twisted Big Air Contest.

Then its back to Squaw Valley for the big finale Saturday night: our 4th Annual SnowDown an Apres Ski party done how only the Space Cowboys can. This year we’re brining it back to ZENBU in the Olympic House, our favourite sushi bar/night-club inside a ski lodge. The party starts early, 9pm, so you can still get your rest for another day of turns on Sunday!

										<div>18 hours driving to spend 5 hours with Bohdi Baby on his 40th B-Day - Whoosh.

So, woke up Saturday morning 6AM and did our usual routine of going for coffee, then the market to pick up fixens for breakfast. Got home, turned on the computer and read again ScottDawg's message regarding Bohdi's B-Day party in San Francisco. Miles had already talked me into doing a motorcycle trip up the coast to Santa Barbara . . . do you hear it coming ???? Next thing I know, I'm packing a bag while MM is in the shower - he calls out stuff like "are you sure this is a good idea", "we have another trip planned for Tahoe next weekend - we can see him then" - of course my response is "I can't hear you, I'm packing . . . ". HOW, HOW can we miss his 40th?!?!? It's been at least a decade since I meet this precious soul and this is a major milestone - DONE - San Francisco here we come. Oh and what fun my babies ! ! !

HIGHLIGHTS:

Bohdi's face and the "fucking no way" when he got to Marrakech. Bohdi being initiated into the Grand Pooh-Bahs and wearing the funny little hat while dancing with the belly dancer. Only 23 bars left for the year - I think you can manage it . . .
Bonnie &amp; Darren for making us "Cabinet Members" for their wedding - we are so honored. Darren, Miles would like to thank you for the "tongue" - I've heard of "kissing cousins" but "tonguing brothers"???!?!?!?
ScottDawg for putting this shindig on. I can't tell you how much fun it was watching him dance on the stairs - he was just too cute (yes, I said it - ScottDawg was CUTE)
Marianne for always being so precious and helpful to others
Kidnapping Fetter
Sugar Shane's driving (and his conversation - that boy entertains and sparks my thinking on topics I would never normally touch on)
Dave &amp; Lynn - for the "back door action" and "Wonder Woman".
Gina &amp; Graham for the throw down pillow fight - Gina is so buff ! ! ! Also, if you didn't already know it - Graham is an awesome photographer. Thank you for the picture of Miles - it's makes my boy look so sexy
MEGS - I love this wonderful woman - I've so missed your face (are your palm still sweaty?)
Finally getting to meet Kate - what a doll baby
Jen Blossom for always smiling
On the down side, we miss seeing Don :( - hope you feel better ! ! !

Well worth the drive. What can we say - WE LOVE YOU ALL and happy fuckin birthday Bohdi ! ! !

    </a>
										<div>We went to a party at a friends house - he opens his doors every year for the Hash family. Mid-way through the day, WM showed up with beer in hand and was met at the door by someone other than the host who berated her and shut the door in her face. It seems that WM had not paid for two hash events and when confronted at the door - gave all the money she had on her to the confronter but was still denied entry. Then the one who had shut her out was cheered. I happened to witness the door being shut on her and saw the look on her face. I made my way through the crowd in an effort to catch her but I was too late - by the time I got outside, I could find no trace of her. I was just sickened by the cruelty that I witnessed. Why not step outside and talk to the person and find out if, maybe, they are going through some financial issues or difficulties? There could be issues in this person's life - shouldn't we, as a family, at the very least ask?

It occurred to me that we are defined by the ones we call friends and we should choose ones that we respect and admire. Cruelty does rub off - if you associate with it, you will find you become desensitized and tolerant of it. Caring and respect for others - the basics of life - why is it so difficult for some? Why are people attracted to the people that are "train wrecks" and "DRAMA"? Why do we allow these people to hurt others with our silence? Why isn't there a universal cry of outrage when witnessing these cruelties? This past year I have done quite a bit of self examination and have determined I needed to "clean house" and have begun eliminating those who do not have my best interest at heart from my family. It's hard to look around and realize that you have people you've called friends that are liars, cruel, manipulative and emotionally broken - so much so that they take it out on others. You do have to break with them in order to grow in the direction of your choosing and not be influenced by their issues. I'm smiling much more now that I've made this life choice.

										<div>I had never heard the term "STEAMPUNK" prior to SD DeCom while chatting with Sasquatch. Now I'm obsessed . . . practically with the fashion. To my dismay, my searches here in San Diego are not fruitful. I haven't been able to find a "community" or "resources" for this style in our area. Does anyone out there share this interest or know where to connect with others that do? My dream is to start designing &amp; creating Steampunk fashions . . .
