Rimsky Korsakoffee House ( local favorites » bars / clubs / cafes ) "they try, and they don't" They have some pretty cool stuff going on there like live musicians, moving tables, and a trippy staff but the desert is not as fancy as I'd like. Good if you just get regular coffee and enjoy the enviroment. OH, and use the bathroom!

The Red and Black Cafe ( local favorites » bars / clubs / cafes ) "their sandwiches rock!" The atmosphere is pretty trendy but thats not all bad. They have some great music (Jason Webley), free geek computers, use good ingredients and have awesome vegetarian sandwiches. When I crave a good sandwich I must get one of there TLT's!

Dots Cafe (2521 SE Clinton St. ) ( local favorites » restaurants ) "really yummy, funky diner" Their fries with spicy tofu sauce rules my world! They have really great burgers and vegetarian food. ReBuilding Center ( local favorites » shops ) "wish i went more often" Such a great way to re-use materials and get them on the cheap! Go with some items in mind or else you will just be too overwhelmed.

movie madness 4320 se belmont ( local favorites » shops ) "you have to go" They have tons of movies from all genres and countries. The late fees are a horror I can not bear to speak of--I've spend almost as much in rentals as late fees but I guess thats my fault not theres!
