The interview didn't go perfectly. For starters, I hit traffic and committed the cardinal sin: I was 10 minutes late! (I can't even tell you how frustrated and upset with myself I was...) But I did call and let her know, so that's something. The interview went fine but I didn't feel we really hit it off. She's very reserved and quiet, very nice, but I felt my energy may have been a bit too much. We'll see... I think I answered well, just not sure she will feel my personality is right for her to work with. She's going to call me tomorrow and let me know if I am invited to the 2nd interviews, which will be with the 2 VPs and 1 manager that the position supports (separately, not a panel). I hope, I hope...
On a side note, I think I at least looked the part WAY more than the competitor I saw on my way out! I was dressed better, had my leather folio instead of just a yellow legal pad, and I carry myself better. But she was older, which is intimidating - will they really pick a baby like me? We'll see...
UPDATE: I wrote this around 11 am (but couldn't post til now). At 1pm, I got a call inviting me to take Word, Excel and typing speed tests. I do that tomorrow, and pending good results will be invited to 2nd round interviews, I think. *crosses fingers, toes, eyes, whatever I can...*
