I played bass for nine years in a Death Metal band and never gave it up. Even today I love this instrument and will play until I die. This beautiful specimen I found in 1997 and it is my bass favorite since that time.

These are beauties for the sound. It is amazing what you can do with drums. Very tradional is my 13 1/2" African Low Tuned Djembe from Guinea. This is my favorite right now, Then to the left there is my 12" Remo Djembe, which has a fiberskin head. This is so non tradional but it is amazing what kinds of sound come out of it. It has a high pitch metallic sound. A 16" Djembe is a significant bass beat driver, this is a good instrument when you play in larger circles and you set the main beat. ... read more
