Macintosh joys and sorrows
I am a long time Mac users, designer, and free lance Mac tech, so naturally Snow Leopard is a front burner issue. As are Adobe's Creative Suite (4 & 5), Final Cut Pro, and Microsuck's botched efforts to publish cool software. In 10.6.x the Mail app is unforgivably buggy, not recognizing known good outgoing mail servers and constantly demanding passwords that have been entered many times. Photoshop keeps getting better and Dreamweaver is so good that Adobe finally gave up with Go-live and bought out Macromedia just so they could put it in the Creative Suite. Now if only Internet Explorer would be written so it displays web code according to W3C recommendations. Right. Office 2011 for Mac is unusable. You can't properly display or edit documents from earlier versions of Word and Excel. Might be getting time to switch to Open Office or LibreOffice, the latest Office competitor.
