Yup...

Pa's side of the family

Since Johnny and I moved earlier this month I've been learning a bit more about my daddy's side of the family (from Mississippi and Alabama). I always had a feeling that my inner farm girl came from his side and this was confirmed by a book on his kinfolk filled with names like Bessie, Mary Lou, Horace, etc. My favorite story of where the Yeeha in my soul came from? My uncle who grew up in a one-schoolroom farm town proposed to my aunt by telling her about a dream he had. In his dream there was a flock of turkies and one of them had her face. That's how he knew she was the one. She was his dream turkey. Howdy hey!

Embrace your inner hick! My g'pa was born in Idaho, in a basement that no one ever got around to building a house over. Would'a got in the way of drinkin' time!
