I'm from Chappaqua, New York, whose most famous resident prior to Bill Clinton was Horace Greeley he of "Go West Young Man." I went to Horace Greeley High School. And then to Sarah Lawrence College, close enough to do my laundry. I moved west to go to graduate school at USC when my father accused me of being the most "provincial person" because I cared only for New York. I lived in Washington for 17 years following and just resettled in the San Diego area this past March.
