Are both of you making sure to lift your head ever so slightly? I used to have a similar problem, but I found that lifting my head (and I don't mean a lot...just enough so that you're not actually dropping it into your neck) helped me greatly.

Make sure that when they pre-pay, they receive IN WRITING a notice of whatever your policy is.
