I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in...
Because nothing says I love you like a TRO

I am posting today on behalf of the Wreaths Across America project. WAA began in 1992 with a trailer load of wreaths, decorated by volunteers, which were laid at the graves of fallen soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery. It has grown into an annual tradition and recently has branched out in an attempt to lay Christmas wreaths at the grave-markers of all of our fallen veterans during the holidays, as a way to express appreciation for the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

If you like hanger talk, you will like this. This is a funny story particularly if you lust over mixed metaphors. This is from a colorful writer from the ------ based at -------:

There I was at six thousand feet over central Iraq, two hundred eighty knots and we're dropping faster than Paris Hilton's panties. It's a typical September evening in the Persian Gulf; hotter than a rectal thermometer and I'm sweating like a priest at a Cub Scout meeting.

But that's neither here nor ... read more

Swizzle, Jonathan, & I headed to Florida last Saturday. Made it LAL just before they closed the runway for the airshow. I was PIC and did get, "Nice job Cherokee" from the tower on landing. I put Clarice down right on the dot; it helps when you practice the night before.

Missed the dedication to Brian Wolf cause we got in so late, but we all had a great time. It was my 3rd time, but the 1st for S. & J. They just enjoyed it thouroghly. We saw all kinds of airplanes and all kinds of p... read more

"Guys,
I lost one of my best friends and combat F16 wingman in a car accident in November. RV/Stearman and F16 Pilot extraordinaire Brian "Wolfman" Wolf was taken from us but his memory lives on. Saturday, April 21st, Sun N Fun will dedicate the airshow and missing man formation to Brian's memory. A dedication will be read by MGen John "Rascal"... read more

On November 14, there was a car accident up in Memphis, TN. A young man, a Corvette, slick roads, and a tree; that day I lost someone special and became only me.

A pilot was he; the skies he went through extraordinarily. Now he is there for all eternity .

I say goodbye to him this Thursday morn; and if you look up and see; that will be my Brian saying goodbye to me.

He is a beautiful man with a beautiful soul. As I send out a prayer to him and his family, I find comfort in know... read more

As it has always been a dram of mine to fly out od Dobbins here in Atlanta. Since I am not military that is not been something I can do. However yesterday, I did get the next best thing. Through my CAP affiliation I was able to go to Dobbins and do about an hour or so of C130 sim time at Dobbins Region Flight Training Center. It was awesome, just like flying the real thing. Of course the distance betwwen the cockpit and the ground on a 130 is way hight than on my piper--my flare needs a ... read more

Being the flying freak that my friends have ome to love, I needed something else to do, so I bought a flight school and aircraft rental business at PDK. That has been keeping me very busy, cause I do this at night after I finish my day job. It does keep me off the streets at night, but also makes for a tired little girl. I have 4 172's, a warrior, and an arrow. So if you are every in the Atlanta aera near PDk come and stop by. We are behind the Pilot Shop PDK. The name is Skybound Aviatio... read more

This past week was spent in a hanger at RYY doing the FAA required (not a bad rule) annual on Clarice. Also had to get her IFR cert done as well. I am on my way to becoming quite the mechanic. Funny I do not like working in my truck but love working on the plane. This years annual weny well. Very little squawks. The IFR cert had a hiccup. My pitot and static lines were bleeding into each other. The avoinc mechanics traced he issue to an swtich they had no idea waht it was. After abou... read more

I received this email from a friend whose received it from a friend and so on. The email was about wearing Red on Fridays to show support for our troops and thier families.

I support our troops and thier families because if were not for them, we would not have our freedoms. I have a dear friend there now and would like him, his squadron, all military personnel to come home safe, sound, and soon. I worry for them.

So I googled this red friday thing and it seems somewhat legitimate, so ... read more
