I crashed my bike on Monday and on Tuesday I wandered into the Dusty Goddess.... Ernest wooed me with the promise of alcohol and then rubbed goo on all my boo-boos and lotioned my feet. He then plied me with more drinks so that I would dance around the pole.
Then he made me nachos....which I promptly dropped.
I love him.

When I hear someone say "Hoooray!" I think of Ernest. :)

Earnest makes me feel safe and warm . . . and a little dirty.

Sr. Ranger E. has a reputation that preceeds him. Except in a good way. Besides looking good in leopard. Clever, clever, clever. While he might tease me a bit, he always makes me giggle. While he may be a coulrophobiac and anti-furry one can't be perfect. When the shite goes down, he's the one you want on your side. When's next year? ;)

Oh yeah, and at those moments in life, when I feel like pulling the covers far over my head and ignoring the universe..... the phone rings, and it's Ernest calling just to say hi. Then suddenly, life is good again! That's a pretty damn good superpower to have!

Had a day off from my trial* today and am sifting through all my political wonkery and this struck me:

Well, that horse, Eight Belles, she is an established and successful horse that ran a very strong race. That horse came in a close second. That horse lost to a younger horse, a horse many thought was not expe...

I know, I know, Apple is like the conformist, gated community of personal computing (all the streets are clean, all the lights work, your color and style choices are limited) but once upon a time I did buy a lovely clamshell iBook I'd like to resurrect as an mp3 jukebox and internet radio server in the guest bedroom.
It starts up about halfway and then kinda nods off.

no, not the WGA strike, which is not affecting me as our movie has a locked script (although they were rewriting right up to the expiration of the writers' contract), although I and my team (repped by Teamsters Local 399c (Location Scouts and Managers)) have not crossed the picket lines yet (we're at Culver Studios) and are working from home and out and about, which is kinda what we do anyway.
Nor an overabundance of parentheses and commas, although they may be causing you the reader pain at...

I think I'd want to die in such a spectacular and horrible fashion that in the wake of my passing there is enacted legislation that would simply be entitled: "Ernest's Law".
