<div>Whose was it anyway? For the record I am not by any means highly educated or even remotely school smart, nor do I read books on a regular basis. What you are about to read is solely off the top of my head or at least I think it is and is just thoughts that make me go hmmmmm. Which then leads to my thoughts on how origins actually become.
Q. What defines an originator of an idea?

What I’m getting at is if I came up with, let’s say; a dance move/step that I have never seen before and so called “originated” that move. Then after the fact that I so called “originated” that move, someone else from a completely different part of the world comes up with the same exact move/step. They or I claim to the origins but no one knows for sure who actually the originator is. Okay so there are patens that can help settle disputes but to me those are just pieces of paper good for standing in court or to gain recognition. The question still lies on who is actually the “originator”.

Another example would be the art of fire dancing. Who started the art of fire dancing anyway? I’m sure there are books or literature on the originators. But what about the people before books were invented who may have thought up the idea of fire dancing but didn’t log them down or even spoke of there findings? I imagine a world long before documentation when humans first discovered fire thinking up what the possibilities could be used with fire. I think I can safely say that dancing is a natural human behavior. No matter what kind of human one is, dancing is a birth right. I know I can safely say that all creatures are capable of dancing to some degree. So add some dance steps or random body movements and throw in some form of fire, either on a stick, a rock, or what have you and you get “fire dancing”. Probably not the form of fire dancing we know today but a different kind that is labeled as "fire dancing"

I have noticed the on going trend of innovation. Humans will continue to progress in all sorts of directions with new forms of whatever that idea may be. As a kid, growing up in my household, there was a lot of pride that came with our Polynesian culture. Its still that way till this day. I was taught a certain way to dance Hula and that was that. Strict rules came to me from maybe 3 or 4 generations ago with little or no change in style. In the back of my mind I often questioned who was the originator of this ancient dance style that my mother taught to us kids? I never have researched that question; rather I just took in the information that was given. There were times when other Hula dancers were ridiculed for not respecting the ancient way because they danced differently or “incorrectly”. If I look at a mental time line of Hula I could imagine many changes in styles from teacher to teacher finally resulting to the styles we may know today. My point is, innovation is natural and it will happen often.

I was once told that fire poi is not traditional. I agree, if you are someone who follows traditional poi dancing. When does a tradition start? I’ll answer that. It starts now. I believe traditions will continue to start every fraction of a second so as long as time is relevant. It seems that people are creating and recreating new and old traditions faster than they can be documented. I also notice when this happens some people become more and more limited to what they are allowed to do. So others go adrift to create there own traditions.

I don’t think original ideas can just come from a single person or group. It seems to me that there is too much invisible energy floating all around us to say that one person came up with a specific idea. In today’s world if it isn’t documented and made official, then its not valid. With that being said the person that did there homework and made an idea officially theirs is granted the rights to do with it on how they see fit. Well within the reason of current law that is. Money now starts pouring in from all sorts of places along with fame recognition. Then egos are born and so on and son.

All of what I am writing has probably been thought up, written up, talked up and whatever up’d long before I started to type this blog entry. I have come to realize that it is also possible that ESP, telepathy, osmosis, brain networking, soul jumping plays a huge role in “origins of an idea”. Out of respect for the people of the old times it is natural to give credit where credit is due. But for me I have a hard time with giving credit to just one person or single group of people. I used to think that there is a start and a finish to an idea. When I thought of the start of an idea I focused on a place and time where there was only one creator. The point of finish was also defined as the same as the start, one ending and only one. I find that to be untrue in my life today. There is no start therefore there is no finish. Much like a circle there is neither start nor a finish. I believe that the more complex the situation, the more complex the circle or shape will be. But regardless of the dynamics of an idea I see no creator or no closure but rather a continuous flow to an idea as it will never start or end.

So in short....

What if an idea is thought up by one person many years ago and was floating in the air looking for a place to land? What if many years later that idea finally lands upon a random person giving them that very same idea? Perhaps that first person who thought up that idea didn’t document it resulting in a conflict of who really originated that idea. I’m not sure where I heard this from or where I got the idea, but is it possible that there is no idea that is a new idea? Is it possible that all ideas are neither new nor old? Is it possible that we are all originators of the same idea?

I say anything is possible……..

<div>I found this passage in my horoscope. Probably the only message I found in a zine that I think is worth sharing.

The water you drink is three billion years old, give or take five million years. The stuff your body is made of is at least ten billion years old, probably older, and has been as far away as 100,000 light years from where it is right now. The air you breathe has, in the course of its travels, been literally everywhere on the planet, and has slipped in and out of the lungs of almost every human being who has ever lived. There's much more evidence I could offer to prove to you that you're an infinite and eternal creature, Leo, but suffice it to say that you're much greater and older and bigger and wilder and freer than you have ever imagined. The experiences you'll soon have will give you a deeply felt sense of how true that is.</div>

<div>Finally I found the strength to do so. I like this new picture because its nothing but the truth. Finding the answer to everything is not always the answer. Well, at least I figured. One can go ape shit when they can't always get what they want. Stuff just happens and not always for a reason nor an explanation. But if I were to solve this puzzle I would say it was "OM". Ok so I havn't reached that level of letting go, but I just have to know the answer. *goin' ape shit*!!!</div>

<div>Like the seasons, we look forward to change.........

Wait a minute, I guess I am expected to write some sweet and powerful words, well screw writing about hippy dippy shit.

I am so much more like myself now that I have cut the mop. FREE, from a visual status of the public. Yes I admit it was a great feeling to have long draping hair. But why?, I asked myself that every day for the past 8 years. I figured that "natural" was the way for me and so I should grow my hair out and allow it to grow the way it wants. Well I did and until now I have reached that point of being labled as something I'm not. People I have never met would come up to me and assume that I'm either Rasta or have Herb to sale or give. Oh don't get me wrong, the perks were great. I could get smoked out standing in most circles, even at a random bus stop. But when I did something out of the Peacful way, I was looked at bad. Some may say "what kind of dready is he for being so judgmental"?

To me where there is peace there is war and vice versa. Life and death. Good and evil. Yin - Yang. Sometimes theres three or more sides, but thats a whole other story.

I guess I could've cut the whole thing off but what fun is that? I still want my hair to touch the ground, but during that process I'll get to add more flavor to the dome.

Just be able to put a standard hoody on over my head is huge for me. Or be able to dunk my head and not having to dry for 12 hours. Not having to swoosh my hair out of the toilettes way when I take a crap. Oh wait, I still have to do that, damn it. How about when I enter a store full of right winged familys and get the crazy eye because I have a bulging hat full of hair? I can blend in like a stealth but come unmasked when I need to.

I think I will enjoy my new look. I hope you do. Oh wait, who gives a damn if you do or don't?

None the less be well and enjoy the ever changing ways of the world, universe, galaxy, etc.........Change is natural.</div>

<div>Damn! Octobers full moon has been really EFFEN with me. Ya see, I truly believe in the moon and its mystical powers. Although I am not the cook book moon follower by any means, but as a human living between the moon and the earth, I do have this sense of connection. For me if I don't glance at the moon or pay respects to the moon I feel out of place, weird and just not grounded. This month I have been paying attention and giving respects more so than any other time, but it just seems to be not enough. October is a really intense time. Perhaps November will have the answer(s). More to come. for now I'll just Bark at the MoOn OOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!</div>
