Wednesday ramblings

Karate night on Wednesday...kids are gone. House is quiet. One cat is perched on the window sill looking out. It is dusk, nearly bedtime (for me). Furball (the other cat) is curled up on an unmade bed; Winnie (our Sheltie) asleep at my feet. School is quietly settled; third graders become fourth graders and now we can (at last!) study Greece and Rome and medieval times and conservation, energy, space, and read more for fun than FCAT. I love this part of the year! The REAL stuff. I feel renewed.

I came home early today, played and danced to the CDs that Violet made me. Every few songs, I ran out to my garden and adjusted the hose--new vegetables waiting to be born (and eaten). Spring is almost here; spring break is even closer. Easter is just a few days away and the mad dash to find the Easter stash--colored eggs in a muddy, but happily growing backyard! A barbeque. A workshop with drums and dancing. More Violet songs; dances with friends on Friday night. A walk in Leu Gardens on Saturday morning. No time constraints on Sunday (no yoga class to teach). Maybe even a scooter ride, a long run, and more music, dance, and fun! Life is good.

I am envious of your green, still snow and ice on the ground here, the sun is a big tease being out later and warmer.
