The Romantasy Parade of Freaks was a great little taste of what is to come on October 24th! I am bummed out not to be a part of the show this month. I am a huge fan of Halloween, but one cannot be in two places at once. It was good to see everyone at least a little bit!
The Thunderstump show was a complete hit as always, and this time there was audience participation. Zombies ambled into the show, mezmerized by the humor and melodies, mustard packets were tossed, and pirates were on the scene for the punk shanty about pizza!
Remember to vote for Thunderstump in the 2009 Ska & Punk Awards; Best New Band and Best Comedy Band.
A HUGE congratulations to the Dancers of DeNile and all of the dancers who performed at Yasmina's Fall Festival and Swap meet at the Mesa Women's Center. I was sorry not to have been able to attend, but I heard great things about the show!
I have not had the most time this past week, hence the tardy posting. Captain Max and I, along with the cast and crew of a local professional stunt studio, worked through some aggressive rehearsals to put together the Pirates of Pinnacle Peak Stunt Show for the Wet & Wild Water Park. Stop by to see the show and all the haunted mazes every Friday and Saturday evening in the month of October, 7PM - Midnight. Opening weekend was amazing even with those first night jitters and glitches!
I spoke to the boys in charge of Clayborn Press. They are good people and I am really going to enjoy working with them and hope this is the beginning of a great relationship! Thank you gentlemen for even considering my work!

The Fete Fantastique was truly fantastic! I was not able to peruse the gallery all that much since I was rather tied down to my little booth, but I did have an excellent view of the performances.
I enjoyed the harpist, Danielle Franklin, and hope to experience her performance at more events. Of the Earth was wonderful on stage, though I do wish they were more personable to the other vendors. Bedioun Tribe was fabulous! Seeing them at Discworld and then at this event so soon was a treat. I really hope to talk with and watch Chase Archer again too. He is an amazing illusionist and a good person too. The fire act was just insane! Her wings of fire, just breathtaking!
Amy Schulz of the Happy Magpie has the coolest merchandise. I wish she would be able to join the pirates at the Raid on Aldea. The 64oz flasks would be a huge hit! She is a great person and business woman too. She was very helpful to me as a new vendor. It is good to know she is on Max's ship.
I did manage to sell the pair of white wings and two sets of horns, but as Amy mentioned it was more of a networking event than a big selling event.
Damon and Raveena were there, though Raveena failed to recognize me at first. It was good to see other pirates present. It was even better to reaquaint with faerie friends I had not seen since the former glamourbombing days. Jeff and Annie of the Costume Revelers were there and it was good to finally meet them in person. I hope to see them at many more events in the coming weeks.
All in all the Fete was worth the cost of the vendor booth and I would be happy to work with TC and her crew again. I learned a lot about event planning and vending and made some excellent connections.

After much work, worry and wondering if it is even good enough. (The typical writer stress.). With the blessing of the Arizona Corsairs, Blackstrap's Ecstasy is now available!
The campy, crazy adventure story of how Captain Blackstrap came to be, and collect her eclectic crew, is written as a sort of love letter to my friends and fellow pirates. Written during the November 2008, NaNoWriMo challenge this is my first published piece, but I hope to follow with more exciting, amusing tales of piracy under the flag of the Arizona Corsairs!
Thank you to all who helped and supported me! You are loved!

about me
If you are looking for reality, you will not find it here.
I do believe in magic, but I find religion to be counter productive to living. I believe in ghosts, muses, gods, fate and that all are more likely to toy with silly humans than offer any assistance.
I like anime and cartoons and history programs, yes. I hate sitting still and if I am not working, housekeeping, studying or occupying children I am creating, dancing, sewing, writing, playing harmonica, drumming, experimenting with making alcohol or shisha, drawing, or anything else that piques my interest at the moment.
I enjoy children, they are a most amusing experiment in social behaviors (seriously just leave them alone and watch the stuff they come up with), but I will never biologically have more than one.
I learn from mistakes, any other way bores me, and does not stick. I like balance, that does not, however, mean I like calm.
I am a library tech in training, a day-job tripper, online shop owner, belly dance instructor, and all 'round Jane of all trades.
I am taken, happily, even though I am a big ol' flirt. My high school sweetheart and I will be celebrating eleven years of wedded bliss this May.
I sometimes wish I could live out the fantasies in my head, but then I realize a real paycheck from a real job that I love, a real life and romance, is a dream come true that leads to far more fun and far fewer endings.
Feel free to visit my online store at <a href=" www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwO...com if you interested in a flash back to the 1980s.

If you are not having fun with life, you broke it. I am sorry, but no refunds.

I do look innocent, but one should never judge on appearances.
