hey guys! i've decided not to continue with my cosmetology apprenticeship...yes, a beauty school drop out! had lots of fun but, they're sharks around here & that wasn't for me. i have forfex cordless clippers & trimmers (only used occasionally for 3 weeks), oster trimmers, extention pliers & a variety of other other goodies ( some new & some barely used!)i'd love to sell at a discount & try to recoup some of my money. anybody interested let me know or tell me where if post if this is inappropriate to post here! thanks, leah

hey an update on fox & his tv debut. they have moved us up to NEXT WEEK!!! soooo, we tape next Wednesday 4/25 & we are waiting on a confirmation for the air date.
WISH FOX LUCK!!! all he is excited about is the trip to ca. & riding on a plane...oh yeah! Staying in a HOTEL!!! ...................
I wish I could go back to seeing things like a kid (atleast a little more often) !!! Leah..................

My son will be on the "Ellen Degeneres Show" !!

My son Fox Adam Burnsed attends Sandhill Elementary School in Guyton, Ga. He is also in the Effingham County Gifted & Talented program. We live in Eden (both are in Effingham county). Fox participated in the county's Invention Convention for the second year in a row. Again he won for his grade at his school (1st grade this year). He went to the county level competition and got honorable mention. The Ellen Degeneres Show asked the school system to encourage the county level participates to submit a short video of the child, presenting their invention, as they like to feature children inventors.. Fox did so and we were contacted by the show last week saying they are flying us out to Ca. & Fox will be featured on the show along with 2 other children across the USA ( of course it will only be only a few minute segment).
The show is scheduled to air May 2nd.

Happy BIrthday to me!!!

Today is my birthday! i'm now 37. WOW! i don't feel like it. i still feel like i'm in my twenties...most days atleast. hopefully this year will be better for me all around- emotionally, physicaly, professionaly , creatively and romanticly. this is my happy birthday Wish for myself!!!

I have a new job!!!

If you didn't know i have been out of work since Dec., layed off after 9 years at the same place. Yes, that was pretty shitty. I have my ebay store, eastcoasttribal.com but, it's not enough to make ends meet. BUT, there is a silver lining to this sad little story. This week i start as a Cosmetology student apprenticing at a hair salon! Yes, the wild woman, known for interesting clothing choices, quick change hairstyles and for wearing lots of jewelry, is now gonna be a hairdresser! NO SHIT! It will take awhile for me to get my license but, i get out of the house, get to be around people and get to learn to do something that has always interested me. I'd love to eventually get a job at a progressive salon doing modern cuts/styles and coloring! Soooo, wish me luck on my new adventure!

I got my laptop back!!! but lost all of my photos....

my laptop hard drive crashed 3 weeks ago & i finally got it replaced and back!!! ooooh, i'm so happy! i've been using my hubby's "work " desk top computer here & there and it's not the same. it's like talking on a phone with a cord! plus he kept creeping up wanting me "get of'f" so he could work. THE NERVE OF HIM!!! well, i'm back in business!

the sucky thing is i lost all of my pictures taken with my digital camera. everything! all of my pic's of custom bellydance costumes i make, my pictures of carolena at the pura workshop, my pictures with rachel brice at her last workshop i attended, pictures with solace & rachel of blue damsel at tribalcon, pictures hanging with my bellydance friends, easter &school photos of my son, pictures of his first tooth lost, pic's of my doggie that died a little while back,etc. you get the idea. things that can't be replaced. i guess the moral of the story is back up all your photos so you don't end up like me!
