Alas, Thomas: I knew him well, Horatio. An early victim of the Great Bay Area .com explosion exodus, or some fascimile therof. These days I only see him at weddings, which is becoming rather frightening, as I have been seeing a lot of him.

There was a morning when I woke to the smell of death and frying bacon. I came downstairs to investigate and found that sometime during the night my house had been broken into by Mark Twain and Rene Descartes. The two were stripped to the waist and had been taunting each other with various pork products, hence the bacon smell. The death smell came from the fact that the two had been dead for some time, Rene much longer than Mark. I want to know why exactly this sort of thing keeps happening to me.
