I am the product of an average, but wholesome upbringing, big family, lot's of love and laughs, a few scrapes and a fracas or two. My parents are still married after 56 years and I want what they have. I am spiritual but am not religious. I try to keep a smile on my face and a song on my lips, but some days it's hard. Music is really important to me. Mostly classic rock (Floyd), hard rock(Nickelback!), blues, easy listening stuff, light jazz and old classic motown and soul. I have an extensive music collection and would rather listen to music and read a book, or play backgammon than watch TV. I love the smell of skunk, just not on my dog! I love dragons and the LOTR movies and books (I've been accused of being a large hobbit). Sci-Fi and fantasy are my preferred reading genres, but I also enjoy a good mystery/spy novel. I love Maxfield Parrish's art and Fantasy art and discovered computer graphics about 8 years ago and began dabbling with that. I've sold a few prints, but just a few. I am young enough to still have fun, but old enough to do it wisely and responsibly. I am a NASCAR nut, but not a fanatic. I gave up cigs 4 yrs ago but not smoking. I still have the occasional shot of Irish Whiskey, but I'm done with the bar scene. I am basically an average, good hearted person. I am interested in real (as opposed to fake, or phony) people and choose my friends selectively. I recently became a cancer patient, and am learning how to do that whole trip. Life is full of nasty little surprises.. and a few good ones, too! Just gotta roll with the changes!
