<div>Here is an update on the terrible life-interruptice.

-Accident on Sunday, July 13, 2008 around 4pm

- On my way to the Shiraz restaurant for a party after stopping by Jawaahir dance studio at Franklyn and Hennepin S.

- I was taking Franklyn East where the accident occurred 2/3 block past Lyndale.

- A car came off the side street without stopping and T-boned a parked car and side swiping it before the driver headed west towards me and stirred into my lane for the head-on collision at high speed.

- I knew no one was behind me I quickly put the car in reverse to change direction and change the outcome of the impact. After hitting me, the driver didn't stop there, as the car was still out of control and he steered it back into his lane and took out another parked truck or two.

- I was ambulanced at HCMC for an evening of xrays and tests. I have been home since Sunday recuperating.

I am tired and taking pain killers. Having to buy a car in the next couple of days has added some stress to the situation.

    </a>
<div>The Guild of Oriental Dance is an organization of Middle Eastern dancers, musicians and enthusiasts.

The Guild is known for its welcoming acceptance of all belly dance forms as well as being known for the annual 4 day dance shows, Guild sponsored dance festivals once a month, Guild sponsored parties and Guild sponsored seminars/workshops as well as other opportunities for everyone to dance and have fun.

The Guild of Oriental Dance supports its members with a calendar of events, advertising via emails, offering dance venues, and a portfolio for those interested in party and teaching opportunities. Visit the guild web link at: http://www.guildoforientaldance.org

The Guild was established in 1979 by many of the well established dancers in the area with Cassandra vision, a vision of fairness in dance wage and to teach Middle Eastern Dance. The dance has cultivated in the Twin Cities and continues to grow.

Today the Guild and the supporting members offer every level of performing experiences* and opportunities to grow in the Middle Eastern Dance art form. The organization consists of novice to professional performers. There is something for everyone!

*The forms being explored in today’s Middle Eastern Dance culture: Cabaret, fusion, Rom, Tribal, and other historical dances related to Middle East and those developed with American influences alike.

Note: As a large support to the Guild of Oriental Dance as the membership officer since 1999 and communications officer for the past several years, I continue to spread the news about the Guild for fare wages and opportunities for dancers and drummers to performa as well as announcing events for the general public to participate.</div>

Guild: Sewers, Crafters, Knitters and Crochet: Thread Creations!

<div>This is an interest finder. I would like to develop this idea further and find out if there is interest.

Would there be an interest in the Guild of Oriental Dance to have a thread creations seminar/workshop/Thread Time?

I was wondering if there are Guild members wanting time to sew projects, knit parts for their costumes, crochet lace hip scarves or make fringed vests and accessories for their tribal, renfest styling, and urban costuming as well as everyday type projects.

We would welcome people of every thread creating experience and teach those interested in trying something new.
