i woke up this morning dreaming about sterling, and his beautiful way of seeking truth, growth, unity and freedom. in the years that i have known this man, i cannot think of anyone else who has imprinited so many fond memories in my head- laughter, communion, adventure and love. sterling you are a truly unique and beautiful person.

I have searched for a poet to speak of your essence, but all have blushed and turned away unworthy. I asked the squirrels outside my window, who chasing each other as playfully as you and I, offered no words to explain their joy. I asked my dragon who fed me pictures of sweaty passion then consumed me in fiery desire. I died before I heard the answer, reborn in wordless wonder, an infant tracing lightning bolts in a cloudless sky.
