Every time I go out there something uncomfortably unexpected happens. I'm pretty sure something similar will happen this year too. Like being told there are no more cars available. Sunday night I went out with Steve and George and George's girlfriend, Josie. We ate thinly sliced cured meats and polenta, warm olives and drank wine and beer. At the end of the night I drank two espressos at 10:30pm and didn't get to sleep ... read more

Ever since experiencing the burning man thing in Nevada with my good friends Everyman and Dirt Goddess, I have had it in my mind that I must travel there with others. After all, it's more economically sound, safer and easier to some degrees. You have people to talk to. You have friends to drive with. You have people to help you keep hydrated and friends to remind you to eat. My first year I decided last minute... around the end of July... read more

TO: MySpace RR Friends RE: RR Primer This Weekend Dear RR Friends, I recently read a post about Burning Man and how "fun" it is. I've had lots of fun on the playa, but for some reason, I tend to find more challenge there than fun. This weekend in Recycled Rainbow Primer- it's a dress rehearsal for Recycled Rainbow later this year (September). This weekend we'll be sawing wood, drilling holes, nailing things, drinking beer and having that elusive ... read more

about me
I was born in shreveport LA, on an airbase during the Vietnam war. I always excelled in reading and writing but did poorly with mathematics unless i was in front of a computer where i could look at mathematics as language. i became trapped into role playing games because i could live inside worlds i created. i wanted to do that in real life and decided to become an architect but i could not do the math. so, i studied literature and learned about the political power of criticism which made me power-mad and gave me an incredibly terrible attitude that i am still trying to destroy. in the mean-time i try to speak and write well and occasionally engage in world-making by myself and with friends. i like working close to being a business owner because by not actually being one i dont have to experience the responsibility, but can be close to the world-making of runnning a business. i am afraid of people but try and keep a few close friends- i love humanity but am frightened of large crowds with which i must interface. because of this fear i am a natural performer. i appreciate contrarianism and firmly believe that nobody knows anything- although i am constantly being convinced and convince otherwise. i am charismatic and over-all pleasant- or not- i'm often grumpy and sometimes an outright asshole. i have not yet seen how I am going to die.
