Disengaging the brain

   Tue, July 17, 2007 - 10:59 AM
Some days it is quite a task to hush my busy brain from interrupting my listening process. I really do try and make my heart my listening unit.

We have dancers whom have been interning to join our troupe. This will almost double our ranks. Quite a challenge for us all. Perhaps more so for this humble troupe director. Listening to those silent messages that emanate from each person tells me just as much, often more, than what is said in words.

I must admit, however, all the chitchat and exchanges that go on during the early moments of our rehearsals and classes, engage and make me smile. I love the sound and the energy of these women! So, I try and absorb it all without thinking too much. Listening and watchin..seeking to balance, heart, mind and spirit in the role of woman, dancer, leader and friend.

Peace and Love!

Nara
