<div>I have a very good friend of mine coming to visit me next week. She's never been to SF let alone California before (coming from back East). I know all the major touristy stuff... but I want to show her some SF highlights which you won't find in the books...
So this is my call out to all you San Fran residents and lovers...
What are your favorite hidden places in the city (to wander through, see, interact with, eat at, whatever)??

I'm open to all sorts of suggestions!

Also, is there anything specific going on next week- any good shows, festivals, etc?

OK, show me what you got!!!!!

I was checking the tax break-down grid... and someone doing the exact same job as myself for the exact same hours and pay is taxed 50% less just because they are married.

Ok, fine I get it... the country wants its people to marry and procreate...

The Barefoot Walk of Shame

<div>I hate to admit it... but it has been done...
oh the shame...

oh the embarrassment ...

and sooo many witness to the walk...

A Sunny Sunday in the Park...
I am rockin' out on my stilts... and oh my... so many tricks just clicked in that afternoon... I was catching my leg behind me, in front of me, hopping on one peg multiple times (on both sides).. kicking higher, doing cross steps, walking backwards... and even starting to lean backwards some... It was amazing... spectacular... invigorating... I was on my game like on no other day! (and I didn't even have atom pushing me,since he was wrapped up in other intrigues)... and then we decide to leave the hill and wander to a party around the gardens...

we dance our way down the street... and then... the shame... I feel something come loose!
stop at a pole... and find that I have broken my shin guard, in fact snapped it right where it meets the wood...
oh my stilts... my first pair... broken!

oh the embarrassment of walking back to atom's house in my striped socks ( no shoes!) carrying my stilts.

my poor babies!....
they will be revived... I will get them fixed and damn soon!!!!!

how very very sad for me
;-(

good thing the wonderful Kevin gave me his stash of shin guards.

"Vegans shun sex with meat-eaters."

<a href="http://people.tribe.net/ed976f05-61bd-4d4d-b11b-e5bd3fc62938/blog/07629886-d499-4646-bb4d-9f95b901f642"> <img class=" picThumb" src="http://images.tribe.net/tribe/upload/photo/0df/ee1/0dfee199-8e12-4e07-9794-e376639c7f82.thumb" width="65" height="71" alt="" />
    </a>
<div>Here is an article that my best friend from New York sent me today... Very Interesting Indeed:

"I'll admit, when I read that headline on Fox News a few days ago, I got a good chuckle out of it, especially when I read the "why" behind this voluntary sexual exile — it's because vegans consider the bodies of meat-eaters to be "a graveyard for animals." Of all the outlandish things I've heard in my 81 years, this one's up there with the best of the best.

I don't know if this New Zealand phenomenon has extended beyond the island's borders or not, but it's widespread enough there to warrant an official name for these weirdoes. They're called vegansexuals.

One vegansexual said, "I believe we are what we consume, so I really struggle with non- vegans when it comes to sexual contact." Another said, "I would not want to be intimate with someone whose body is literally made up from the bodies of animals who have died for their sustenance."

Oh brother. I think all that processed soybean junk food has gone to their heads — and their sex organs, too. The research is in, and it's alarming: Veganism from birth causes mal development of sex organs in males. (Read The Whole Soy Story to get the scoop. You'll be astounded. You can order it from www.NewTrendsPublishing.com.)

Next thing you know, vegans will be cutting out sex altogether, which, come to think of it, wouldn't be much of a stretch. And that's what I think this story is REALLY about. It's not so much that vegans don't want to have sex with meat-eaters — it's that they can't handle being partnered up with someone who actually has a sex drive.

The average vegan doesn't "get it on" nearly as much as we hearty meat-eaters. How would I know such a thing? Because their diet is lacking in zinc, a key nutrient necessary for the production of what makes you want to get it on in the first place (testosterone, of course). They'll deny it to their dying day, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Since the very best sources of zinc are meat, dairy, and shellfish, it's easy to see why a vegetarian could conveniently be "tired all the time" or have that chronic "headache."

Yes, it's possible to get zinc through non-meat sources like pumpkin seeds and pecans, but why would you want to? Besides, sources like these don't even have enough zinc to reach the USDA's recommended daily allowance of the nutrient, which, at 11mg/day, is far too low to begin with.

But even as a proud meat-eater, don't think you're in the clear — because if you're not careful, you could find yourself in the same libidoless boat.

Making sure you have enough zinc to liven your libido requires more than loading up on sources that are high in the nutrient. You could load up on zinc til it's oozing out of your pores, but if you're stuffing your face with foods that are known to deplete your stores, the end result will still be the same.

The main libido leeches are sources like whole grains and beans — a double whammy for vegetarians, since those are staples of their deficient, tasteless diets. A diet low in protein can have the same result as well.

Father Nature never intended for it to be so complicated to eat good food. You shouldn't have to weigh and measure everything you eat, or keep track of how many ounces of THIS gave you however many milligrams of THAT. If I had to do that on a daily basis, my head would explode.

Just stick to a diet loaded with plenty of red meat, eggs, and a few veggies thrown in for variety, and you're bound to get everything you need to be raring-to-go at the drop of a hat. And I've got plenty of personal experience to vouch for it…

Non-vegan and doin' plenty of lovin',

    </a>
<div>occur daily, weekly, monthly, yearly... around the world?
Would you like to take a guess on how many deaths or births are occurring today?
Come on... take a shot in the dark
Throw out a number of what you think one day changes (numbers wise)
1,000... 10,000 ... 1,000,000,000 ????

I found a world clock website for this info... which monitors the changes every second.
It's amazing, surprising, and kinda terrifying.

I'll put up the web address later on today, but I'd like to see some guesses (without cheating and looking it up online or otherwise)
I wonder if we truly can imagine the BIG picture...

So, I'll throw out a guess to get things started (and later on this evening I'll look it up, post the info the website gives, and give you all the website address so that you can be astounded as well, and keep track if y'all like)

(Remember world wide)hmmmm.....
Deaths: 123,000
Births: 193,000
(I have not cheated, these are purely numbers pulled from my own brain)</div>

<div>YAY!!!!!!!!!
I just moved yesterday/last night (until 3am)! I am now living in the sunset district, only a couple of blocks south of Golden Gate Park! YAY!!!
I have a fantastic location right on the Judah line, so I'm really easy to come visit... ::nudge nudge, wink wink::
I have a fireplace, taller ceilings, and a backyard/patio area.
I'm really happy with the move, there is alot of work to be done in the house (particularly the conversion of the dining room into my bedroom), but I know that all will work out.

Thank you to my friends who sent good vibes and wishes my way-- they helped!!

And a very very very very very very special Thank You to Temple and Monica- who transitted it to my old neighborhood around 10pm and stayed around to help me (and my new roommates) move heavy furniture, boxes, etc. into my new place until ~2:30am.
They are the BESTEST!!!!!!!!

....

and.....

so a new chapter begins....

<div>'Change the course of the Epidemic'
AIDS WALK San Francisco
July 15th.

Alright, it is time to open hearts and wallets! That's right I'm asking for sponsors for the AIDS walk. Not only will you be sponsoring a well-deserving cause, but you will also be supporting me in a special undertaking. I will be attempting to do this 10K (6.2 mile) walk on STILTS! Many of you who know me, know that this is a new interest of mine (stilting that is), and which at times can be taxing on my already weak knees. But I feel that this gesture may help bring more support, attention, and help to this cause (I'll be working on a costume that will hopefully gather a great amount of attention both from the media and public).
According to the booklet, the suggested minimum pledge is $25.00, although many sponsors supposedly pledge $50 or $100 or more.
(ALL PLEDGES WELCOMED!!)
My goal: to raise $1,000 or more!
This means that I am aiming to acquire 35+ sponsors in about one month! (fewer if pledges are greater)

What can you do?
Sponsor me (either post, email, call me with information)
Pass this information to any co-workers, family members, or friends (and feel free to give them my email address for further details that they may need - Perseph13@hotmail.com) --- try to get them involved in pledging, and let them know that this is not just a walk, but a walk on stilts!

I will be doing this walk with a dear friend of mine, who will be 'on foot' and with camera -- soooo, if anyone needs more incentive, then I can offer photographs of the stilter making this walk for anyone who sponsors me.

LET'S MAKE A LASTING IMPACT!!!!!
Be apart of something bigger than yourself!

										<div>Swiss Accidentally Invade Liechtenstein

ZURICH, Switzerland (AP) -- What began as a routine training exercise almost ended in an embarrassing diplomatic incident after a company of Swiss soldiers got lost at night and marched into neighboring Liechtenstein.

According to Swiss daily Blick, the 170 infantry soldiers wandered 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) across an unmarked border into the tiny principality early Thursday before realizing their mistake and turning back.

A spokesman for the Swiss army confirmed the story but said that there were unlikely to be any serious repercussions for the mistaken invasion.

''We've spoken to the authorities in Liechtenstein and it's not a problem,'' Daniel Reist told The Associated Press.

Officials in Liechtenstein also played down the incident.

Interior ministry spokesman Markus Amman said nobody in Liechtenstein had even noticed the soldiers, who were carrying assault rifles but no ammunition. ''It's not like they stormed over here with attack helicopters or something,'' he said.

Liechtenstein, which has about 34,000 inhabitants and is slightly smaller than Washington DC, doesn't have an army.

<div>I'm attempting to broaden my music collection, but I am terrible at remembering titles and artists... so I'm requesting from any/all of you out there to give me some suggestions to look into.
When you offer a suggestion, please let me know what 'genre' you would name it under (ie. racing in the car, bouncing head at work, animal sex, etc...).
All of your suggestions are greatly appreciated.

<div>since the government continues to fuck me over!

So I jump through frozen hoops (fire ones would be too enjoyable), just to get this graduate student loan... finally I get the ok!
Yes!.... and then I receive a letter telling me that my school requested that the loan be dispersed in two payments instead of one (Why I wonder since the next semester starts in about a month! But who really thinks reasonabling nowadays)... and beside the two dispersement dates, what appears before my wondering eyes??
Dispersement Fees! So I call the loan company and find out that the Federal Government is charging me a Fee for taking out a Private Loan!? Oh and of course, since my school requested 2 dispersements, the Government gets to charge that fee twice (over $500.00 just to take out a PRIVATE LOAN!!!)
Does this make any sense at all!??!!
So they can tax me on money I earn, money I borrow from them, and money I borrow from private companies... is there ever a point or payment that they don't take some chunk that they choose to?
Now don't get me wrong here, I understand the importance of taxes, I know that these need to be paid so that other things around my community can be taken care of, but charging fees for things that have absolutely nothing to do with them and are at no point going towards community necessities... now that is going waaaaaay tooo far.

Oh, and then there was the friendly reminder that even though my back taxes were not going to effect my credit (as I was informed by the IRS last year), they decided to change their minds, without informing me, put a lien on my account and raise the interest amount... and just so all know, the IRS admits to having the Highest interest rate of any loan distributer, just because they can.
So what should one do in this situation, generally they suggest that you take out another loan to pay them off, so that you are paying less in the long run (though they get to take a fee from that loan as well)... but since the IRS decided to put a lien on my account, I can't take out a loan to get rid of them.

and that my friends are some of the ways in which our wonderful government is enjoying anally raping people.

<div>Ok, I've been living in SF for about 2 months now, not a very long time, right?
Well, long enough to be completed violated! Those damn assholes broke into my car! My car, which has been my home more than once!
They broke the back windshield (one of the most expensive windows to get fixed), dumped everything out of every pocket and then preceded to go through my boxes still being stored in my TRUNCK...
no money anywhere in the car, so what do they take???
One green hand knitted wrist warmer (gifted to me only a week ago)
and 3-5 personal items from my box marked "Delicate... Candles and Altar Stuff"... they went through my altar!! I'm not sure what is gone yet, since I still have not be able to unpack my life.... but taking from the marked box is just wrong!!
I found one of my pillows on the ground beside the car and two bags which had random crap, cables and Cds about 20 ft away on the sidewalk, with everything that was inside them spewn across the street.
My car was parked.... in front of my house......
and... now I have found out that my landlord's son (who lives upstairs) had has car broken into that same night in front of the house!!
No break ins in that neighborhood for over 10 years, and now a few in under two months!!
Damn You!!!
I will find you, and when I do my wrath shall be known!!

in the middle of the night, you creep into my innermost parts
you try to sneak in, lie quietly,
but in the morning you are clearly attached to me.

In the morning, you make your presence known,
you kick and scream and torture me
you give me no rest, no respite.

No respite from the pain and the anxiety,
you grab hold of me and thus take me from everything else,
you make sure that I can have dealing with no other,
no one other than you.

No one other than you, can be on my mind,
you control my movements, my coming and goings,
you force me to drink, more than I wish to.

More than I wish for anything else,
I wish thee to be GONE!
Leave my body, be flushed away!

Leave this girl and ne'r show your horridness around me again!!!

<div>Let's see them....

The good, the bad, the funny, the inspirational...

1) All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances, and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages." - Shakespeare

2)"All that changes in history is the name we give things." -Harry Truman

3) You have ONE advantage over me... you can kiss my ass and I can't ! - Anon.

5) When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us. --Alexander Graham Bell

<div>why is it that some of the most annoying songs always are the ones to get stuck in your head, even if you only hear a few bars? Damn It all. And then you try to find another tune to hum, to get the first one out, and the later gets stuck. Now this would seem a good thing, but alas within moments the previous song starts inserting itself back into your brain. After time and going through many songs, the garble of a ?melody? makes your head start to spin and have no clue what song you are actually trying to get out of your head anymore.
To many personalities grasping too many different songs... ::splat::</div>
