Well I'm at the end of my rope with the housing situation. This is a cry for help. Does anyone have any leads on housing in San Francisco in the $800-1000 range? We have been searching craigslist and a few other sites for four months now, but the competition for housing is so great that whenever we find a place that seems right (not in the tenderloin, hunters point or china basin and larger than a prison cell) there are at least 15 people just at the open house. Because my wife and I are...

Do you suffer from shyness? --Do you have feelings of inadequacy? ----Do you sometimes wish you were more assertive? If you answered yes to any of these questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist about Tequila. Tequila is the safe, natural way to feel better and more confident about yourself and your actions. Tequila can help ease you out of your shyness and let you tell the world that you're ready and willing to do just about anything. You will notice the benefits of Tequil... read more

1. I just took a bag of day-old donuts out of the trash behind the local donut shop. 2. I can distinctly remember running, (or should I say waddling) full-tilt, under my parents dining table without having to duck. This memory is complete with the sound of my diaper rustl... read more
Someone linked this in one of my tribes, and I had to pass it on. It's a little music video entitled, "Keep your Jesus Off My Penis"

about me
I am a biology major and my goal is to hold a professorship of molecular biology at a university where I could teach and do research. I am married to Adriel Ahern Scarborough (the greatest woman in the world!) My other goal is to live on a few acres with some trees, a creek, and a sunny patch where I can grow food for my family, and raise sheep, goats and chickens. I would build my own house, using haybail and stucco construction and other green materials. Very farmer-john, I know. So far I have been able to balance being proud of my country, and being ashamed of the direction it is headed. I don't know how long I will be able to keep up the shame without it smothering the pride in its sleep.
What I do and what I'm interested in is like a grain of sand and a beach. If I could be omnicient it would just about satisfy my curiosity. Trust me, you couldn't bore me with technical details. I go to graduate seminars in subjects as diverse as Biochemistry, Astrophysics, Theoretical Physics, Geology, Political Science, Sociology, any kind of Biology, etc. Depending on the subject, twenty to ninety percent of it is above my head, but the part that I do understand feeds my ravinous curiosity (and they're free!). My favorite type of lecture is when there is an opening available for a professorship, and the interview is a presentation of the post doc research that the applicants have been conducting. My actual field is Molecular and Cellular Biology (for now). I hope to get a PhD in Population Genetics and Evolution.
