Update 9/23/07
I just moved from San Francisco to Placerville so I could buy a house and run my dog boarding and dog training business Sierra Dogs (www.sierra-dogs.com) up here on some land. It's a definite culture shock, but I really enjoy this area, and still make it down to SF (only a 2 hour drive) regularly. I'm trying to make some social and professional connections in this region (e.g. Placerville, Camino, Shingle Springs, Pollock Pines, Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, El Dorado Hills, Folsom, Rancho Cordova, Sacramento, etc.)


Update 1/20/07:

Still running my business and adding new features (offering dog-related services to local dog-owners; i.e. walking, play groups, boarding, training, etc.); it's time-consuming but rewarding. It's been about 4 years, and it's still a joy every day.

I'm also still deep into some community projects. I started a neighborhood park improvement group with another woman, we raised almost $500K, and are pushing ahead with park and playground renovations to (hopefully) be completed in the spring. So now that the ball is rolling on that one, I'm starting up a group to improve another nearby park. Also, I'm on the board of a neighborhood association here in my part of SF.

I'm still hanging out, enjoying spending time with my puppy Luna (--she's now 3 1/2 years old and weighs 90+lbs!), time with my niece who just turned 6, & my nephew who is almost 3, going to the beach and to various low-key events in the area, etc. You'll most often see me at a nearby dog park or at Fort Funston with a bunch of dogs.

*******BASIC PROFILE: I am warm-hearted, affectionate, fiercely smart, sensual, passionate, open-minded, strong-willed and sometimes stubborn. I smile and laugh a lot. I am shy, but nobody who met me in the past 10 years believes that; in other
words, I’m an extroverted introvert. I’m both analytical and emotional; I can be a little sensitive or moody but never a bitch, sarcastic but never cruel. I know when to turn the cell phone off. I understand that exercising judgment is not the same as being judgmental. Interesting ideas, passionate conversations, and a great
laugh are all things that excite me. Apathy disgusts me. I enjoy good wine, great conversations, delicious food of all cuisines, reading voraciously, hiking, gardening, music, and way too many other things and activities to
list here. I hate mushrooms. I speak fluent French and dabble in a couple of other languages. I'm single, never married, with no kids, although I would like to have a family someday and currently dote on my 3 ½ year-old niece and on my puppy. I like animals in general, and I am a huge dog person. No, really, I LOVE dogs and can spend inordinate amounts of time playing with them and watching them and talking about them. Just ask my friends.
