El Topo and The Holy Mountain theatrical rerelease tour 2006-2007 (new remastered prints) SAN FRANCISCO - CASTRO THEATER - EL TOPO 1/19/07 & 1/20/07 SAN FRANCISCO -CASTRO THEATER- HOLY MOUNTAIN 1/21/07 & 1/22/07 the DVD versions will be out in the spring (hopefully), and it'll be a boxset with El Topo, The Holy Mountain, Fando y Lis and a bonus CD with soundtrack music. all 3 movies are going to have commentary, and who knows what other extras. supposedly they're going to be an ABKCO/Criterion co-release, but that deal might have fallen through - although the logo ABKCO is using on the trailer for the films looks exactly like the old Criterion logo they put before their films. http://www.abkcofil ms.com/ also, here are two short clips from the remastered El Topo: http://www.twitchfi lm.net/archives/ 008448.html

hello(= i have spoken to a few people about rides, but nothing too confirmed. i am working on saturday until around 2 or 3pm i think......so i can leave anytime after this. i'd probably like to leave earlier instead of later because i am planning to volunteer in some way.....but am not entirely sure what and when they need me for at this point. oh yes.......i also need to stay over on sunday night, and drive back on monday..... tribe me if intrested peace! amanda

i saw this on the burning man tribe..............what to believe?????.......well i guess it is best to be prepared for everything, but hope for the best! There's been a lot of misinformation about extra dusty and windy. Not that I don't like that kind of stuff. What's the scoop? I got this from the eplaya from Ibdave or somebody. "That's right folks. Apparently "that" email floating around warning you of daily dust storms was just a PRANK trying to get you all riled up and freaked out about the potential for daily white outs. As it turns out, playa conditions this year are much better than the email would lead you to believe. The playa this year is much more hard pack than it has been in years past, NOT the crispy "potato-chip" kind of surface that powderizes so easily, as the hoax email would lead you to believe. In fact, it seems that you can actually expect LESS dust than in the past couple of years. We're trying to figure out where this prank originated (no, it was not Peterman or Ivan I know what you are thinking) because this thing has already gone far and wide and caused enough trouble. We're pretty sure that we've narrowed it responsibility to DPW and the other on-playa crews (which, when you think about it is pretty obvious). If you have forwarded that email on, you may want to send out a follow up email letting people that it was all a hoax.

High Everyone! looks like i get to take a much needed vacation from reality in the month of August! i am fortunate enough to be attending both Boom festival in Portugal, and Burning MAN. the way the flights have worked out for BOOM it looks like i will not be able to return until just a few dayz before i head off to Burning Man!........so i would like to make my room avaible for sublet during the month of august. rent is negociatable....as is time i.e. if you just want a few weeks that is cool too. my flat is victorian style and located in the lovely and sunny mission district in san francisco. you would be sharing the place with my roomate, scott, who is a really awsome guy and nice to live with. we have a living room, kitchen and typical bathroom. it is 2 blocks from 24th st bart, and close to all the cool stuff that exists on both mission and valencia st. you will be no less than 5 blocks away from one of the best taqueria's in town!!!! excited??? please email or tribe me so we can discuss this further! peace! amanda
