Do you really know your ancestors?
Greetings!
I offer my gratitude to you for taking the time to read my profile, and perhaps a few of my posts. Despite the mixed feelings I have about working across the internet, I know so many people of European heritage use the computer to communicate and socialize, so there is some reason to it.
If you are a person of European heritage, I would like to awaken you to the existence of your ancient Ancestors - the people that were known collectively as the Iladurarrak, Ilzuriak, or Moaene. They all mean basically "moon worship tribes." These Ancestors still speak to us if we listen with our hearts. They have much wisdom to share. I can be a guide for sincere people who seek to rediscover this knowledge. For more information about the Iladurrak, visit www.intuitivepath.org
We will need this wisdom in the coming days as Mother Earth continues to tell us we have not done a very good job at keeping her (or us) healthy. Perhaps you have noticed the news about global warming, catastrophic climate change, and the depletion of natural resouces? What you probably haven't noticed is that we are also destroying indigenous peoples and their sacred sites - the traditional caretakers of Mother Earth. We have to change our ways if we hope to survive.
To Native Americans and other indigenous peoples: I am not here to appropriate Native American medicine practice or any other spiritual pathway. I only walk the path my Ancestors have laid out over thousands of years. I do attend real-life gatherings and ceremony with real indigenous political and spiritual leaders. Despite being of white skin (and the legacy that brings), I have earned respect with my relationship to the Old Ways of my Grandmothers and Grandfathers. I also facilitate an indigenous solidarity project called Four Directions Solidarity Network. You can visit that project at www.eswn.org.
The community we are building at www.intuitivepath.org is real. The Spirits say people of European heritage must rediscover their roots. This website is one way to begin a process that will act itsef out in the real world beyond anonymous computer names and embellished profiles. If you wish to explore this, please contact me.
Finally, I would ask you to step back for a moment and consider how you move in this world. Do you honor your Elders and your Ancestors? Do you believe you can learn all you need to know by yourself, or do you respect the role of teachers? I ask these things because for most white people (and others in modern times), the idea of personal "liberty" and "free expression" has overcome the natural relationship of learning wisdom from elders and teachers.
We would benefit by changing this in the days ahead.
Thank you for reading. We are all connected.
Naomi
Healing from the dis-ease of modern society is essential to make it through the coming changes.
Practically speaking, people may need to be given the tools and the emotional support to heal their wounds. And while simply offering "love" sounds 'spiritually enlightened' , the term 'love' has many meanings and many applications.
All kinds of love are needed to create change - many of them active kinds of love that engage, challenge, protect, and nurture. Active forms of love wear at our own wounds, because it asks us to become engaged into soothing the suffering, misery, and grief of others.
Thus the active forms of love also become an interconnected process of growth and healing, while passive forms of love tend to keep us removed and distant from the suffering and misery of others.
And when we say "we must love", it means more than loving the ego-centric form of "me'. Since we are all connected within the great web of life, it means loving the collective form of "we" - the Earth, animals, plants, rocks, water, air and all life.
This collective view brings us back to 'active love' because if we truly love, it means we do not accept that those we love - including the Earth, animals, plants, rocks, water, and air - are suffering from neglect, misuse, and murder.
In order to heal those we love, we must challenge when our loved ones are harmed, protect them from misuse and exploitation, and nurture our relationships with them in order to heal and grow well together.
These simple engaged relationships form the basis for the struggle of modern humans in reclaiming the Old Ways, the sacred relationships that once characterized the union between the human species and all other life. The knowledge of how to participate in an engaged love with other life is the living wisdom passed down from age to age for hundreds of thousands of years.
In order to heal and love during this great Time of Change, we must remember this living wisdom. If we do not, we will not have the tools or guidance necessary to do what needs to be done, and greater misery and suffering will ensue.
How do you participate in active love? How do you remember the living wisdom of our Ancestors which is the knowledge passed down for generations about how to love and respect all life? And how do you engage in a collective process with all life to heal the wounds that modern living has inflicted upon us together? How will we get through this Time of Change without these tools?
We are all connected,
Naomi

Greetings!
As I think about how you found my profile, I realize it may result in part from the rather provocative and blunt way I express myself on Tribe. So I wanted to touch on that for a moment.
I try to share in a way that is both sensitive, and provocative. And I share with confidence because I am firmly rooted in my work and the relationships with my Ancestors and our Spirits. It is easy to be bold when you are relating what the Spirits ask you or when it comes from direct experience.
Because my Ancestors are from the original tribes of Europe, there is less spiritual hierarchy than you will find in later cultures like the Celts, Norse, Greeks, Romans, etc. It is more animist based and operates on the same fundamental principals as Native American medicine practice. This has been beneficial in developing relationships with other indigenous peoples and for communicating this pathway to people of european heritage who might feel affinity for medicine practice.
I've been fortunate to have patient teachers and a framework to synthesize what I experience into an established cosmology. It is a living wisdom that is tens of thousands of years old.
So many people of European heritage do not realize they have this available to them. So they end up choosing pathways that are not rooted in this kind of ancient living wisdom. The result is a spiritual direction that emanates from intellectual pursuits or quoted from the latest book or workshop, rather than originating from the passionate heart that is connected to all life in the sacred relationships. There is a difference.
Or worse, some people are lured into outrageous stories, spiritual "systems" or pyramids, which create a false sense of connection and achievement.
I know a woman who is involved in this kind of spiritual system. She's now on the 4th level of ___________. She can't wait to fly across the country and spend $400 on another workshop.
One day she asked me to visit her land and tell her what I see. So I go and walk her land and her home. I tell her all about the land she lives on - which trees are healthy and which ones aren't; what the water spirit says; where the snake spirit lays; how the adur (medicine) flows across her property and through her home; places where the Spirit world bleeds through strongly; even that a painting by a cancer ridden friend is bound in sadness and pain radiating into her bedroom.
She complains. She says I did not change her life.
I say this not to minimize her, but to point out a dis-ease that many people of european heritage feel today, especially within new spiritual systems that are structured like a corporate ladder.
There is a belief if they only work hard enough, or go high enough they will find the enlightenment - the miracle, or the "life changing experience". They miss the point that our Ancestors and the Spirits have already given us the tools to live rewarding lives in the basic elements of the earth, water, air, fire and sky.
Have a life changing experience by going and sitting with a tree for a day. Watch all the animals and plants that interact with that tree, just for one day.
The many birds, the squirrels, the creepy crawlers, the plants nestled among the roots.
The other trees that touch branches in search of Egu, the sun.
How the shade of the tree covers some plants and not others, or leaves enough patches of sun for the lizard to come and warm itself. Which becomes food for the hawk.
How the fruits of that tree provide food for all kinds of life big and small, or ripen just when the migrating songbirds fly through.
How its leaves and branches fall into the creek which then creates a dam that allows for a pool of water where the fish and the frog can live.
This is the miracle! How everything is connected within sacred relationships. And the living history of our people who have watched and nurtured these relationships for thousands and thousands of years. I am enthusiastic because I want everyone to know this is in our heritage. We must hold it in our hearts and feel the joy of it!
So when you read a post of mine that's particularly provocative or bold, remember I'm not making these kinds of statements because I am insensitive or blustery. But simply because I share what I know and try to do it in such a way that jars people from the intellectualized slumber of this world.
Wake up! ::laugh::
Blessings to you all.
