Mariri Magazine launches

After many years of visiting the Amazon Basin, spending time with indigenous peoples all over Latin America, working with social entrepreneurs and nonprofits, it has all come together in one vision - Mariri Magazine. Check it out:

In the Amazon Basin, Mariri means different things to different people. I had it explained to me as "a forca da floresta", the sacred, life-giving force of the rainforest, responsible for creation, abundance, fertility, life, healing. In such a way, Mariri Magazine celebrates the richness of rainforest ecology, indigenous culture, and explores the challenges of rainforest conservation through original feature articles and gorgeous photography.

Mariri Magazine is a journal about the rainforest for people who love the rainforest. We cover rainforest conservation, ecology, ecotourism and indigenous culture. Many of the contributors are my friends, fellow activists who care about the rainforest and all her creatures. I hope you enjoy it!
