Okay, so I know I just put up a post about the new rakstar shirts and stuff so my "things for sale" quota should have been met, BUT as many of you know GRITS Raq is going to their first competition this November and we really need travel $$ so to try and raise said money, we made some practice veils and if you'd like to support us and get a pretty veil to boot, we'd appreciate it.

So I decided I needed a RakStar shirt about 2 months ago and in my hunting, I could find no such shirt which made for a very sad Mary. I had the brilliant idea of having the shirts made and through one of my students found the information for a local printing company who were able to get the shirts to me with super quick turnaround. I've finally gotten them up on my website, so if you want to see....

I think that to see Miriam dance is a truly wonderful experience for any style, or level, of dancer. This woman reminds me of why I love to watch dancers that seem to have a timeless connection to the dance. She really expresses the music through her dance, and becomes the instrument.

Miriam is such a wonderful woman to be around and a joy to watch during a performance. As an instructor she is patient and kind and her explanations are always easy to understand. I am so glad I've had the opportunity to meet her and have her as a mentor.
