I was born to write. I am a poet, a screenwriter and a writer of memoirs. I am passionate about preserving my family's history. I do so by scrapbooking and incessant photography, which includes video and DVD recordings. I love live anything: theater, comedy, improv, dance, poetry readings and sports. I am passionate about animals and often volunteer with local animal rescues. I have rescued dogs, cats, rats from university science labs and snakes. At one time I had a ball python, a boa constrictor, three corn snakes, a squirrel monkey, 8 rats and two dogs. Currently, I have a Shih Tzu named Bailey Muffin. I'm an only child and tend to form strong alliances with other loners: artists, writers, musicians, world travelers, tortured souls and others who are slightly left of the center of that which we refer to as sanity. I listen more than I talk, give more than I take and strive to leave everything and everyone better than I found them.
