2 more semesters!!!!

I am beyond stoked right now!!! After this semester, I have only 2 more to go and I graduate!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am simply ecstatic about this right now. Next on my to do list; find a job so when I graduate, I have money to go home!!!

I am singing to myself; "Happy Happy, Joy Joy!!" Come on!! Sing with me!!! Altogether now!!!

Addition: My GPA last term was 3.64 which means if I keep it at that I will graduate Cum Laude. After this past semester, I have boosted it up to at least a 3.75 which means I could graduate Magna Cum Laude. But, I am aiming for Phi Beta Kappa of them all though. I really want those straight A's.

I am dealing tolerably well with Missouri until I discover one VERY IMPORTANT THING!!! There aren't any See's Candy Stores anywhere in this state!!!! AAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! It's bad enough you have to drive to St. Louis for Jack in the Box, but no See's, no Pollo Loco, no Panda Inn. How much more can a girl take??? ::weeping onto keyboard::

LOL I thought that might be a mildly funny rant from my usual feeling-sorry-for-myself-having-pity-parties etc....

If anyone want to though, I would never say no to a box of chocolate buttercreams from See's. I would be very grateful indeed!! LOL

I am going to school why???

I have to admit I am not really angry, just severely disappointed in my school. Since I don't have a job right now, coming up with $25.00 for my registration fees for this semester is looking quite bleak.

I went into school early tonight to finish an overdue essay and thought I would check with financial aid about the money left over from my books account from last semester. I had been told, apparently erroneously, that I could have that money when the semester was over. I have been rolling it over into the next semester just to make sure I have enough to cover books and miscellaneous expenses. WELL, I got a flat out no on that and that threw me into a righteous tizzy!!

I was in a fairly crappy mood to begin with and didn't know why. Soooooo...........I go to my psychology class early and one of my classmates, Crystal, is already there. She is very nice in that she lets me have my whiney moment and then points out that I need to figure out what the underlying problem. As I was complaining about how much we pay for school and will pay once we graduate and why the hell can't those fuckers let us have the extra money that is sitting there in our book funds so we can pay our semester fees, I made the suggestion that perhaps we should do a fund raiser in order to start some type of scholarship fund to cover that stupid $25.00 registration fee for the students who are struggling and just can't come up with it if it means not feeding their children or paying the electric bill.

I would guesstimate that 2/3's of the women at my school are either struggling single mothers or low to very low income 2 parent homes that are just trying to better themselves!! Quite a few of them aren't on welfare too. A lot of them don't even have a computer at home and have to write multi-page assignments! My friend Crystal has an adorable special needs little girl, just lost her job and her car is about to die on her. I don't know how she does it and I really admire her perseverance.

We are going to get together this week and brainstorm and research to see what we need to do to set up a scholarship fund like this. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be very welcome! We were thinking of having bake sales, rummage sales, pizza parties etc.... Maybe we can get sponsorship. We also need to figure out an agenda so that the people who actually need the $25.00 get it and not someone who is too cheap too spend their own money.

Send suggestions, ask other folk you might know who may have a clue.

Universal suck

boy oh boy, did I hear so much about how GREAT the job market is in Missouri (please read Misery) and how easy it would be for me to find a job with ALL the experience I have in accounting. WHAT A LOAD OF STINKY HORSESHIT!!!! I have officially lived here since February of this year, I have been looking for a freaking job since May of this year. NO FUCKING LUCK!!!

At first it was hard to find a job because I was going to school either Tuesdays and Thursdays or Mondays and Fridays. I have done office work for 20 years and no way in hell am I going to work fastfood ever again. So, the beginning of this semester (mid-October) I switched to night classes thinking that if I were available during the day, maybe, just maybe, I would find a job. NO FUCKING LUCK!!!

Here it is December 9, I have $2.10 in my checking account, maybe $4.00 at the most in my wallet and debt up to my freaking ears. I will owe the IRS money this coming year and I can't pay them, I owe Mika and Darryl money (which she never lets me forget), I owe just about everyone money. This is shit, I hate living here. I hate living with Mr. Bi-Polar lets bring the whole house down and treat everyone like shit because WOW people are being mean to me. I hate the fact that I don't have a car (again GODDAMMIT). I hate the fact that I can only take the blame myself.

Mika and Darryl are doing everything they can to get me to stay here forever, but I feel if I do, I will die and not just in the spiritual sense. I don't want to deal with Christmas or any of the bullshit angst here. Is it too much to ask that I just get a decent paying job so I can have a little hope??? Maybe start thinking that I can succeed after failing so much for the past 3 1/2 years???

I left my bank statement on the kitchen table by accident, so of course Mika had to go look at and make a snide remark about how LOW my account is. LIKE I FUCKING DON'T KNOW THAT!!! Gee Mika, what happened to that $120,000.00 plus that your dad and mom left you??? Am I going to get the blame for that being gone too??? It must be my fault because she won't blame Darryl and it looks like she isn't going to take any blame for herself.

NEW PLAN: Find a fucking job in this shithole town, pay Mika back to shut her the fuck up, buy a car on credit since I won't be able to pay for it completely (that really bites my ass), save a little extra and even if I am not finished with school, move the fuck out of hell.

Thanks for listening to me rant. I am just lonely and depressed cause I am broke and can't buy anyone I care about Xmas presents.

OOOOOOOOOOOO............the weather outside is frightful

No, really, it is!!!!! We have been getting sleet all day......there is about 4 inches of sleet on the ground and it will be turning to snow tonight with another 6 - 9 inches of that stuff.......Please someone rescue me!!!!!! Our pond was partially frozen over earlier because our electricity went out!!! It's back on now, but boy oh boy, was it cold and boring.....One of my roomies sucks at games because he is a poor loser and refuses to get into the spirit of things....Oh well.....as soon as I take some pics, I will post them.

Just thought I would bring you up to date on school. I got my report card on Tuesday and guess what??? STRAIGHT A's again!!!

This will be my 3rd time on the President's List. I am very happy as I didn't think I had gotten good grades in any of my classes. But, I aced it!!!

So, I will have to work hard again this semester so I can continue my streak.

Freaking amazing!!!

I got my report card for last term at school today. I have been sweating hard over it because I was NOT doing well in 2 of my classes.

Well, someone call the Pope, I got straight A's!!! I couldn't believe it, I am very very happy about this. It really makes my day.

Now I just have to deal with algebra, anyone have an extra brain I can borrow??? LOL

I am very proud of myself because I am actually reading my books and showing up to class and doing my homework. I will be on the President's List again this term because of my hard work. This is such a wonderful feeling. ::happy smile::
