I am posting the following essay verbatim because of the issues arising in our society Despite propaganda to the contrary, this is a pluralistic nation. The Bill of Rights has been trampled and sullied, but has yet to be repealed. I wouldn't want to live in a theocracy under any circumstances, especially not the rabid hybrid of right-wing politics and fundamenatalist pedanticism.
