Over the last few weeks, I have been in France visiting Family. My cousin from Peru married a Frenchman and the family came to meet the new family. She lives in Nancy, in northern France. It was rainy, cloudy and cold so I booked a one way ticket to the beach. I ended up staying a week in Nice, France. Apparently the French Riviera is somethign grand, and I hadn't heard of it until right before I boarded the train. This person is Jane Goodall, and she visited my campus in Berkeley, California a few weeks ago. She gave a talk on Conservation and World Populations. I haven't seem Jane since 1996, or was it 1997, when I saw her speak and met her in Washington DC. I was able to be reminded on what I want to do in this world, and how I want to impact the lives of others. I had been feeling a little disconnected and disallusioned from my goals. Last week I got a migrane headache and I just couldn't take another minute of the amount of stress that has been building up on me since school started last summer. I was yearning for a place to venture off to and just forget about life for a minute!
