E is so Cool!

What a great dancer, teacher, mom, and I bet wife too.

I am blessed to have crossed her path and hope I get to know her for a long time.

Big Ups gurl!

Her dancing blows my mind!

I saw her for the first time on on of the YouTube clips, and I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. What an inspiration. So now I am watching both her and Rachel Brice for Tribal Fusion ideas.

What a girl!! ;D I think you should be Empress of Newbury Park!

I can't believe it has been almost 5 months and I still haven't written a testimonial for you! Mind you, I'm not very good at writing, but here it goes!

I knew I found a kindred spirit in Elizabeth when she came to stay with me in London....especially when we rocked out some ATS in my kitchen in front of my drunken flatmates. ; ) She is not only an amazing teacher and dancer; she is a wonderful person to be around. Warm, friendly and genuine. An inspiration! Thank you for being you! :D

I hope our paths cross again sweety! It was a pleasure to host you and Ayse in London :)

Delightful, totally involved in presenting quality for our dance community, sharing in the art, the trials, the performances, production, details, and hugs...
Thanks!!

My blah blah blah dance bio....

Elizabeth Mahina has been dancing for as long as she could walk. She studied hula, tahitian, ballet, jazz, as well as bellydance. She was a principle dancer at "The Tikis!" in Monterey Park, and with Les Polynesia Dance Company under the directorship of Ilima Montgomery. Elizabeth has appeared in print ads, commercials, on stage, and television.
During her college years Elizabeth was introduced to belly dance and studied under several teachers, Cella Miller, Janea Drummond, Caroleena Epstein, and Allegra who were all students of MaShuqa. Elizabeth and her sister Yasmine Mankowski formed a dance troupe that used both Polynesian and Bellydance influence called Raks Ohana.

In 2003 she discovered American Tribal Style Bellydance which carries a strong element of the divine feminine so important in her life. She also has recieved Basic Skills Certification & Teach Training in ATS by Carolena Nericcio. She continues to expand her knowledge of belly dance by taking workshops as often and from as many teachers as possible, including Carolena Nericcio, Rachel Brice, Ansuya, Jill Parker, Sabrina Fox, Judeen, Amy Sigil & Alexandra King. Elizabeth has been able to fine tune her varied dance and artistic background into one fusion style. She directs both Tandava & She'enedra belly dance troupes. www.she-enedra.com

Elizabeth now teaches belly dance at the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center, and from her home studio. Recently she has started teaching workshops at belly dance events, including Tribal Fest 2010, Tribal Fusion Faire 2009, Tribal Caravan in California, Tribal Ford in Great Britain, & the IBDC in Las Vegas & Bedouin Bazaar in San Diego.

My Blog

Hey check these out I'm selling these beautiful Geisha Moth pants on Ebay...I only wore them once at Tribal Caravan and have taken great care of them. They are basically brand new. I'm hoping they will go to a happy new owner. They are a size small but the cool thing about them is that you can adjust the length easily.

The first things I did when I got started becoming interested in tribal bellydance was to read the Tribal Bible and buy a video (yes it was VHS then) of Fat Chance Bellydance. It must have been around 2002. I had been into cabaret dancing for years although I was not very devoted. My kids had their own lives and my husband was always so busy working and playing music that I just thought I would do something to get some exercise and make new friends and I wouldn't feel so lonely.
