You know when you feel the warmth of the sun on your closed eyes when your laying on the beach? Contentment. You know how you feel when you decide to jump into the river or ocean even though It's ice cold but you take a risk cause It's going to feel so good once you do? Exhilarating. What about when the feeling you get when your on the playa riding your bicycle naked? Free Or, most importantly, when you make a decision above all else to be yourself, and to never compromise your own beauty. Inspiring. These are the type of qualities this women has. zenith rides again

After a year and a half of "vacation" my cat Zenith has returned home. AMAZING. He disapeered one day last year when apparently my landlord had left our gate open all day. I spent months flyering my neighboorhood, answering peoples "i just saw him" phone calls..crying hysterically thinking he was run over... Last week, Tuesday afternoon I hear Doug say "Elke, some guy is here to see you and he says he has your cat" This guy Chris,(who coincidently lived in my house before me and painted my room) remembered Zenith from a few times we hung out. He really liked Zenith (since Zenith is a big black maine coon and is super cool) and he SAW him running out of a backyard alley ON MY BLOCK. He ran to his house, grab his cat carrier, and put Zenith in it. I happened to be home (sometimes being sick pays off!) I couldn't believe it. COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Of course the little brat waits until I get a new kitten, 3 weeks ago to make a reapperence! I waited a year and a half to get a new cat.. He is big seems healthy (getting him vet checked next week) and has been living in a big community style cat garden in the blocks backyards. A couple had "taken" him on and had been feeding him and letting them go in and out of their house for the last 9 months. I am very happy. Him and Atria (my little kitten) get a long great, and he is a gentle giant, and she is a little mischief maker. Meow!!!!

Meet ATRIA. Around 8 1/2 months old (UNDOUBTLY A gemini, determined by me) I adopted her from the SPCA for Valentines. I gift to her and me. When I went and visited her, I noticed immediately she had a large heart shape on her head. Seeing the nature of Valentines, and that fact that animals are loving wonders that help the heart healing process.. ( So I went to researching a name for her. I found myself looking through other languages and words for Heart..and ended up with a magical word with many meanings. In anatomy, the atrium (plural: atria) refers to a chamber or space. It may for example be the atrium of the lateral ventricle in the brain or, popularly, the blood collection chamber of a heart. It has a thin-walled structure that allows blood to return to the heart. There are two atria, one on either side of the heart. On the right side is the atrium that holds blood that needs oxygen. It sends blood to the right ventricle which sends it to the lungs for oxygen. After it comes back, it is sent to the left atrium. The blood is pumped from the left atrium and sent to the ventricle where it is sent to the aorta which takes it to the rest of the body. In architecture, an atrium (plural atria) is a large open space, often several stories high and having a glazed roof and/or large windows, often situated within an office building and usually located immediately beyond the main entrance doors. Atria are popular with companies because they give their buildings "a feeling of space and light", but have been criticised by fire inspectors as they could allow fire to spread to a building's upper stories more quickly. In my song writing, I always make references to the heart. I also closely identify with and feel like where I come from (besides this earth as it turns) is the Space in Between. To my great surprise, when randomly looking online today about ATRIA again, thinking" it sounds liek such a cool goddess name" I found this: ATRIA (Alpha Trianguli Australis). Among the easiest constellations to invent are simple triangles. There are two of them, one north (Triangulum) and one far south (Triangulum Australe). Of the two, the latter is the larger and brighter, its Alpha star (from which we get the modern proper name, "Atria") Atria is one of the closest bright stars to the southern rotation pole (the South Celestial Pole. Most likely the metallicity is close to solar. Though Atria seems single, there are two indications that it might have a small companion. First, it has been classed as "barium star." Such stars are believed to have been contaminated in heavy elements by an initially more massive companion that evolved first and passed matter enriched by nuclear processes onto the star we now see, the companion turning into a dense white dwarf (which Atria itself will also someday become). Atria's youth, however, implies that the white dwarf should be hot enough to detect in ultraviolet light, and it is nowhere to be seen. More significant, Atria is the classic "hybrid star," a giant that shows evidence for blowing a cool wind from its surface, So is the star single, double, or triple? We do not yet know "Though Atria seems single, there are two indications that it might have a small companion" This is awesome! She is my small companion and a gemini! And a little star. Energy flows from the star to the heart, the complete process an ATRIA performs...all within a open space to contemplate it all. Blessings indeed! Today a new goddess for modern times is realized. What more could we ask for then one that heals the flow between the stars and the heart. And this little kitty is a reminder of this energy.

So I figured out my new years resolution... I had all kinds of symptomatic or general ideas..but I have narrowed it down to: Action/ReAction For the first time in my conscious life I am seeing the effect of outward energy. I have been aware of it in waves, but now I see it, I feel it, and I am really truely tasting the interconnectedness of material and emotional reality. The spiritual realm is an idea or concept, that I am thnakful to have future thinking towrads....but I can really GRASP the physical and emotional at this time. I have started looking at life in ways of perception of space, not just activity in that space... I did a reading recentely, and was satisfied getting the perspective of : I am where I am because of Justice/fairness and karma I am breaking down and changing shattering apart with lightening quick speed And I am The Fool and as I should be. I went to the a beautiful show the other night...Lulacruza. www.lulacruza.com (they have streaming samples of their music) This beautiful duo makes the most beautiful earthly soundscapey argentinian percussive guitar singing music. I was very inspired by them. Plus Monica Fine went with me, so that made me happy too. I love being able to share new experiences with friends, especially music. I live for those moments in time. I want to plan an audio sharing/listening night at my house very soon. Everyone brings mp3s cds laptops whatever of their current favorite and inspiring songs, and we actually LISTEN to the tracks. I will provide a cozy ambient space and such... Many people have said they want to do this..so let's figure it out. We experience joy, depth and meaning through music we love. Let's share...

Last night I dreamt that my friends child was drowning and a group of friends got her out of the water and brought her to the shore. I walked up to the scene to find her dead or dying..and everyone was trying to figure out how to save her using mouth to mouth. As I held her little body in my arms, I felt something hard under her soggy shirt, sticking out of the middle of her chest cavity . I removed her shirt, and found a lid. At that moment, I realized what was going on. I opened the lid to her heart and reached inside her chest and pulled out a ton of fabric junk. Little bits and pieces of lint. Her heart's filter had gotten clogged, by a bunch of junk. I fished around cleaning it out and she started coughing up bits and bits of soggy material. Suddenly she was very warm and alive and everyone around gazed in wonder at how her poor little heart hadn't been filtering right..but how fabulous it was that we could all just reach in anytime and clean it out for her.

Oh yes! I have wheels again! I painted 'er up, and I am going to be up to no good.(Especialy on GORGEOUS days like today) From the age of 7-13 I was a bikin' girl. I BMXed with friends at a racetrack near my hometown, and I spent ALL my days down at the creek riding around. Reflecting on it now, I was always hanging out with the cutest older boys around (I was a tom-boyish fiesty little thing then) and I was known to frequently get in fights with them, including rock throwing fights. I Was being picked on/shouted at by a whole mob of them across the creek, and I threw a rock and hit this guy Clint's new cyclecraft. He got all red, ( I was like "shit!") and he started throwing big ones at me. He hit me in the side of the shin and I toppled. I don't think I had ever been so angry in my life. Tears pouring out of my eyes, I screamed like a wild hyaena and started running into the creek water to cross and attack him. The creek was only about a foot deep, was very nasty, and was always swarming with polliwogs and algae strands. Clint had a horrified look of "Oh my god I actually hurt her" mixed with I need to get the fuck out of here, as I flung my self into the creek towards him. My friends older brother Jason, (from Indiana) who had been somewhat of a savior to me on many occasions (and a big crush) intervined and made Clint apologize, cross the creek and make sure I was OKAY. You can Just imagine the mixed expression on my face of tearing, anger, and mixed deight of being taken care of. OOOOOOOOWWW!!! BICYCLE! BICYCLE!! BICYCLE! BICYCLE! Allright, who wants a visit??? :)

I am blissfully content after spending a great weekend with some of my favorite people in the WORLD. If ya haven't heard..I am probably losing my truck. It started freaking out on the way back from the playa this year...overloaded and unhappy. Scatha and I used he powers of our minds and hope to get through the hills of Nevada. Since I got back..well, its decreased further in it's abilty to go faster then 20mph, and rpm's upto 4000 before it moves into the next gear. If it's my clutch..then I can maybe afford to get it fixed..if its the transmission...well..then it's adios. BUT.. During this time I have enjoyed throughly being a passenger, and ended up having an amazing weekend hijjacked by moni sekani and scatha over at their home. Not having my truck made it so I enjoyed staying at someone elses house, being pampered by such delights as: The FUNKY SHOES drink made by Sekani The holy Mountain (dvd that Scatha had to convince us was NOT ahorror) and exotic bath products from Moni and a book about bitches Guest apperences from Corby and Estar and a group phone call to a friend up on mushroom mountain and ... well...hopefully has climbed down it now. Every weekend with my friends..is grand..but I think I laughed so ridiculously hard this weekend it balanced out my woes of losing my truck. I am so swooning with bliss right now...to reflect back on the many beautiful projects I have got to be a part of this year, and all the people that I worked, played and moved with. My deepest gratitude goes to the friends who really resonate with me on a creative and music level, and I was able to create transform inspire with. Scatha, for the amazing projects you have created and ran and made me a part of..I am humbled by your care. The highlight this year was trashion at BRC and modeling to MY SONG. I felt like my heart was going to burst. Monica, for loving my music and bringing me into your heart and your Crucible experience this year. I am overwhelmed with joy looking at the you tube video, and hearing the sounds of my music with Bill and seeing you move, and the feel of the space and the crowd. I am thankfull to the amazing men who filmed this and got it up for us to all see and share: mouse satsi roland and thankful to Ty, for always being a loving support and involving me in all of the production projetcs in some way or another. I am eternally thankful for meeting Sherwood, and to continue to not only make an album, meet more musicans, do dive shows like at Ireland32, but to work on the production of events at the contraband gallery space on 5th st. This is a new venture, and to be able to perform and wlecome in musicans all night to this art clothing work space is a very special new thing. I am thankful to Blondie for asking me to write her and Micheal and wedding song. This challenged me in a great way, to write a devotional love song. It gives me hope of the ability to love and be in love with another again someday. And to be able to sing it at the temple, with such recognition musically. And to miss Opal Essence, who was the first ever to ask me to play at her house, and to perform my music in a bigger way. I love you Opal and I am greatfull for what you have brought into my life. sigggggggggggghh I love you all. Thank you. This retrograde has been a very moody, reflecting one. Not as much of a crazy confusing fast paced one as some of the others. Home space, internal homespace..my internal world and workings. My shadow side, my comfort needs. Truely cancer 4th house mercury energy. I spent the last night of my retrograde finishing a song about love in a homespace, and recorded it. The song is called "July in Lord's house". Lord shine's so much light on others in his home. He gives so much of his heart. While working on this, I felt like I made a break through, and look forward to leaving many things, many layers of dead skin behind. I actually went through physical sickness this morning, and recognize my body's need to purge things I have holding onto. I have an energy work session tonight, with an amazing talented healer Ishmael. I have only had one other such work done on me, by Sekani, in the last 4 years. Ishmael, was the first one to do work on me when I was 23. I have some nervousness and anticipation about the fire arts show, and this is a good day to let this energy out, and I am going to go practice at the space for the first time tonight. To all my loved ones, who have been around and in my home, and invited me into theirs in the last year of growth, I thank you deeply.

(Lyrically this songs means tons to me) Live @ The Castle ... Fell st. Recordings! I should have at least 1 more recorded this week...(I have myself on a schedule now) and all I wanna do is play play play write write play. It's so incongruent with having to work so much! Download my tracks, if you like them, because I can only put up four at a time, so I will be replacing them with the newer tracks as I record them. I am so glad I found a simple medium to get my songs recorded.

So, after having an experience a few weekends ago, that oblierated my pschye, and re-reminded me I still have a heart, (and there is some, ummmm, locked doors, and alleyways in there needing further exploration), I have been rebalancing myself. The inital scenerio: You are closely connected to someone, spend 3 yrs with them. Things get crazy, challenges predominate, you are no longer with them. You jump into anything and everything, with no groundwork or basis. Things, get crazy, and reflect your own confucktuated internal state. OH! THATS WHAT HAPPENED???? Ok, so now I have gone through my intial transitionary period of lose and confusion. It's been about 9months. NOW IS TIME TO START FROM THE GROUND UP. What better time then now??? Work has been....needless to say, getting more demanding. With losing 7 people in the next month, my focus is on work a lot. I am rearranging my room in the midst of this all, and have started (HALLELUJAH) to work on music with the big hearted/big brother Kurt Wahlberg. Yay! Two of my friends from Coloradi are coming to stay with me in August! They are staying in our house from the 11th to the 18th. I am so excited!!!! Gabe and I used to make music together when I was a teenager, and he is possibly the best guitarist (besides funky dave) I have ever known. He is also a great composer, and can play most instruments. Gabe was my best friend the last 4? years I lived in CO, and I introduced him to Maria, and they got married 2 years later. I used to ditch class in high school, and go to gabes and wake him up by knocking on his window around noon several times a week.(god I was such a pest) He would grumble loudly and come out all bed headed (at the time he was a hair bag, and had long hair that hung down his back)and whine about the sun and smoke cigarettes. We would sit in his room for hours recording songs,and I still have the first demo tape we did together, (I was 16, he was 27) Maria and I worked at an old folks home together (yup, were talkin' midwest here) and worked graveyard shifts,and would paint each others nails all night and do tarot readings. I would sneak my boyfriends in and do it in the bathing room. hehehehe (I loved that part of the job) I can't wait for everyone to meet them. They are so rad, and such "boats" which is an odd nickname gabe used to call people. fuckin boats...

wow. This birthday week really tops everything EVER. From the ~the celebration at the grant building (singing birthday wishes via speakerphone, kareoke into the morning, and some good george michael) ~the celebration for Estar and Lord (Including fried chicken, music making, hair dying, great talks and amazing stories) ~sleeping alllll day saturday ~36 hours in my room with the best people in the world. ending with smoking walls, super heroes,and a live long legged wrestling match.
